Great teacher! Very nice and helpful. 4 papers during the semester. No tests and no final! What more could you ask for? Very easy assignments thrown in between each paper which give you no reason to not get an A in her class. Take her! You will not regret it!

She is a GREAT teacher! I highly recommend taking her class! At the beginning, it may seem like she gives a lot of busy work, but it ends up being very helpful! She gives a lot of leeway with deadlines and does whatever she can to help her students! Makes the class interesting and easy to understand! I got 100% on my final research paper!

excellent teacher- really cares about her students and you can tell she has a passion for teaching. gave constructive, useful criticism that truly helped me create research essays that i was really proud of! i found this class to be rewarding and pushed my writing abilities, but was overall an easy grade for me.

Prof. Sykes is SO sweet! I thoroughly enjoyed her class, not only because I learned a lot, but also because she is gracious and personable. She went above and beyond her role in the classroom talking with me in her office and was extremely helpful. She even gave us 3 practice tests for the documentation final! Study well and you will love her class

She is decent but i would NOT recomend her. She gives lots of busy-work stuff that you dont even need. Forgets to give you grades for assigments and looses your returned work constantly. Sometimes she has no idea what is she talking about so as the whole class. Lowers down your grade for stupid mistakes, so dont expect slack from her.

Friendly, a lot of help with showing you how to improve paper grades. Good class discussions and very creative atmosphere. The attendance policy needs revision however -- makes you feel like you're in high school again because it's silly & rigid.
