This class was fairly difficult, have to attend 3 concerts and write 2 reports that has to be 900-1,000 words . no cell phones in the class she gets very angry and started taking 50 points off of your grades. sometimes she gets upset if people are coming in late. she gives plenty of work online but some extra credit. takes class very seriously.

Like everyone says, she takes this class WAY too serious. The online class I took crashes and she makes it difficult to make up assignments when you're not at fault. VERY VERY VERY picky about the written assignments, and expects a lot out of your papers (doesn't seem to care about your previous lack of musical knowledge). So just be careful (':

Comment:

Online class wasn't so bad, but could take anywhere from 30 minutes to 3 hours. Assessment due every week. If you know a little about music already, it'll help. If you study the assessments before the BIG tests, you can easily pass the class because they are worth so many points. Kept a B, despite missing the attendance report.

This is not a slack off class! If you know her personally, she's a sweet lady. She is also very passionate about music! Do not take her class if you're wanting a blow off or you're not interested. She can also tell if you cheated on the online homework so be careful and *take your time* ( ;) ) or she'll give you a zero. give her a chance :)

Takes music appreciation WAYYYY too seriously. Gave me a D on an attendance report that took me FOREVER to write because I didn't get specific enough, although I covered every guideline she asked for. DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS!

Duso was moderately easy, her class was just a pain. She is annoying and picky about the way things are done. She treats this music appreciation class like it is a major class when really nobody cared. You have to go to concerts and write papers but she does give bonus opportunities.

Very boring class. LOTS of information. Definitely not a blow off gen ed. She gives a lot of tests and assignments. Go to class and take good notes. All test questions come directly from the lecture notes.

Ms. Duso is pretty easy. She uses powerpoint, and you just have to write down whatever is on it. The tests are multiple choice and have a listening portion. You have to attend 3 UCA concerts and write a report on each, which isn't too bad. She can be a little crazy sometimes, but it is a funny crazy. She really loves music and you can tell.

I found this class to be extremely easy. She does take it a little to seriously for a gen ed, but the tests are right out of the notes and online quizzes. I never looked at the book. The listening exams are easy too and the few assignments she gives aren't hard. 3 Concerts, a few online quizzes, and a webquest assignment.

She's a nice teacher but takes this class WAY too seriously. We had to do webquest assignments and everyone made 60's because of the grammar and using the word "it" It's ridiculous. She's nice though. Just study hard and use correct grammar and you should be fine.

She takes the class very seriously. I enjoy music but she makes it miserable. She makes questions up on the test that you know you did not cover in class. She is out there. Would not take her for an easy A or a blow off class.

She takes the class very seriously. You just have to copy the notes straight from the power points, but the tests are difficult because a lot of the questions aren't that important.You have you go to 3 concerts and write at least a 3 page paper about it. Grades on punctuation and spelling. Didn't like the class at all.

She's nice enough, but in my opinion, takes the class a little too seriously. (Especially for a gen ed!) The tests aren't super hard, but you do have to study. And, you do have to go to concerts and do assignments. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't take the class again if I had the opportunity.

Her class was fine, the assignments are helpful and the test are easy if you just read over your notes. The only thing is that she has to be bipolar or something, she is nice one class and then foams from the mouth the next!

SHE IS A VERY NICE TEACHER AND LAID BACK!! HER TEST WERE EASY, BUT A LITTLE CHALLENGING!! STUDY THE NOTES THAT WE WRITE DOWN FROM THE OVERHEAD PROJECTOR AND YOU WILL DO GREAT!! AND ALSO HAVE TO DO THE JOURNALS OR YOU WILL NOT PASS THE CLASS!! OTHER THAN THAT, I RECOMMEND THAT YOU TAKE THE CLASS!!
