Whether you're taking a beginner or advanced math course with Mr. Congelio, expect to put in the work. That said, he gives great feedback on assignments, and genuinely wants to see you learn (and pass). Attendance isn't mandatory, but I would highly recommend it. He's very good at teaching new concepts, and punctual about class updates.

I had Dr. Congelio for MTH172 in the Fall semester. He is one of the nicest guys you could ever meet. He is very clear in his lectures, I've never seen him double-back or make a mistake at all. And no question stumped him, he had an answer for everything. Good experience and I am excited to have him again for Calc 2 in the Spring.

I wouldn't recommend. He gets mad over little things and basically expects you to teach yourself. Large amounts of online assignments, which is dumb because I took the course to avoid all of the online nonsense. Also he will fail you on tests if you do not solve questions HIS way. Very arrogant.

Incredible teacher. He is challenging but extremely detailed. He is a teacher because he loves to teach, not because he wants the summers off. I've never heard him stutter or slip up even once, he is that good. Can't say enough about him. If you are looking for a math teacher at WCCC Lou Congelio and Megan Stiles are the best of the best.

Took the class online over the summer as I have a mental block when it comes to math and struggle quite a bit but Mr. Congelio was extremely nice, helpful & understanding. His nice personality came through in all emails. I like how he mails the exams with the correct answers written out so we clearly see. Will take my 2nd algebra class w/ him too.

Great teacher. Presents material very clearly. Always smiling and in a positive mood. I've had many teachers that sort of just go through the motions, putting forth the bare minimum, but Lou goes above and beyond the call.

"Good morning, good people!" Dr. Congelio is a great guy, and lots of fun. He will go out of his way to help you learn. That being said, there were rough parts where it seemed that he expected you to "know" tricky concepts from having read over the book from one day to the next. However, he would answer all questions in great detail and good cheer.

Had Lou for Calculus. He was one of the best teachers I have had. Frequent quizzes & lots of bonus points to help with your grade. Joked a lot, tried to make Calculus fun & applicable.

I had Mr. Congelio for an online math class, notes that he provides where not all that helpful as much what I learned came from errors on my tests. Where Mr Congelio shines is how he sends a complete worked test and how to do it, thats how I learned better then the book taught me.

Im a student at Penn State and im in the engineering progam. I have to take all kinds of calculus for my major. Penn state doesnt allow calculators but Congelio does. He makes calculus a joke. Easy A, take him.
