Professor Plebani is alright. He gives quizzes every class, but he gives you all of the answers, so the class is mostly memorization. It's better to just study for the quizzes during class than listen to his lecture, because that's all you'll be tested on. Just be aware that you won't get to code a lot in IE 224.

He is the most arrogant teacher I have ever had. I don't think his teaching is effective. He just grills one person for the entire class and makes you feel like an idiot, unless you know the stuff and then he calls you a show off. He is not up to date with the most current software, so he won't help you very much with hws.

The class is pretty much worthless mainly due to his inept lecture. He pretty much sucks at teaching, doesnot prepare for his lectures and his assignments, well they are a joke!! Anyway, avoid him at any cost during your time at Lehigh.

Delivers lectures off the cuff which is sort of interesting if you have questions for him ready beforehand. The hws appear to be hard, but if you do the work early, he'll answer every single question you have during lecture.

His class made an impression on me, and has helped immensely on my dissertation research. The subkect he teaches is a difficult one to teach, but he does a GREAT job. There are no good textbooks on DP, so he had to improvise. He's a VERY funny person.

Plebani makes learning grad school stuff fun. His technique is unorthodox, yet effective. He is on the cutting edge with computer technologies. His projects take a LOT of time, but he lets you pick the topic so you learn what you want to.
