This is the best physics professor you will ever take, trust me on this one. He is a very generous grader and explains things really really well. He is also really funny so makes the material interesting and asks a lot of questions so keeps you on your toes. He really helped me understand physics much better than I did before.

2 exams, 3 assignments. Weekly lectures on BB & that's all you'll need for the class. Assignments look complicated but he gives a step by step directions on how to do it. Suggest doing them as soon as you get the assignment. If you don't understand physics, the lectures would be hard to understand but the exams are basic questions from the lectures

As non English speaker and physics idiot, it's easy and don't need hard work, although you need to read through the lectures, of course. 3 assignments with step by step instruction and two exams, no weekly discussion board. I think you don't need to spend a lot of time on this course. Also, the professor are willing to help if you have questions.

Online class. I'd never take this professor again. With 3 assignments and 2 exams and no extra credit you have no choice but to pass everything you submit. I did like that we didn't have much homework the assignments were just hard and the test were way harder

No text book needed, all lectures are online. You have 3 assignments, two tests no room for failure. The assignments are explained step by step but STILL difficult. Hard grader but he does allow you to resubmit assignments if you did poorly. TEST are difficult. I am praying I pass this course. I'd tell a friend to take a different course for B6.

Interesting class. The exams are all you get for grading aside from some participation and attendance points. I couldn't stay at home and read the book, I prefered to just learn from him in lecture.

Lot's of information, and lots of enthusiasm. He's a hard grader, without hitting you too hard on what you missed. Your understanding is what matters.

The class was dumbed down and had no book and very little work. You're allowed a cheat sheet for the exams, and the best two of three are counted. Dr. V demands participation but picks on students and interrupts people who were brave enough to speak up at first. I was excited for the subject matter but most time was spent on calculations.

Dr. V always answered my emails, this class has no real interaction with each other there are no discussion board postings, just PDF lectures (50+ pages) 2 times a week. Offers TONS of review questions, exams are crazy hard even if you study. But the 3 assignments are easy if you follow his instructions, with effort its passable for upper GE req.

I took this online, I think this is his first time doing an online class. Maybe it is better in person. I am not getting any feedback via email, 3 assign 2 tests, but if you do poor on those expect a bad grade. I studied hard, but still got a D- on midterm. I am normally an A student. No extra credit, poor communication, slow grading.

Took this for upper ge b6. Sooooo confusing! The lectures are PDFs and I'm never sure what to take away from them. The tests are hard because some questions are just random facts.

This was one of the very first classes I took at CSUEB. I'm not super good at math and have never take physics before, read his lectures! 3 assignments and 2 tests. His tests aren't too complicated as long as you read the lectures and TAKE NOTES! Do not wait to the last minute! Do your work, turn in your assignments you'll do fine.

I took this class for some GE credit and was mildly interested in the subject matter. He's very easy to work with and gives you half your points back on questions you missed if you correct them. He drops the worst of your three tests and bases your grade on the best two. He is funny and I would definitely take courses from him again.

Take this class! I am not a math or galaxy person at all and still managed to get a B in this class. No book just long lectures. Three exams and he drops the lowest grade out of the three. He also lets you correct the answers missed on the exams for half your points back, which saved me since the test were pretty hard. I would def take him again!

Long lectures and they're hard if you're not a science major or haven't taken chemistry/a lot of math. The lectures are very long PDFs that are pretty but sometimes don't make sense. He's lenient on due dates and lets you redo assignments you may have messed up on. The midterm and final were hard. Definitely need to read the lectures! No book.

Professor V's class was a joy. Would highly recommend him. He's not only knowledgeable about physics, but interesting and entertaining as well. He gives three test, your lowest score is dropped, and loads of lecture. If he teaches this class again on a Saturday, take it. Free and easy parking

Dr. V is awesome! Very thorough with his work, you can really tell he knows what he's talking about. Totally corky and tries to be funny, sometimes he is. He's very helpful and understanding of the students needs and will do his best to make sure you understand. Tries hard to get students intrigued.
