Never had her for a class, but she is the adviser of the chem club, so I spend a lot of time with her. She is a great person and great teacher who is willing to help any student out if they make the effort to try in her class and to go to her and ask for it. Can't say enough good things about her.

Sands was very helpful! She is a hoot too. I am not the best at chem, but she would be a great help whenever I needed it. If you are having trouble, go to her office hours! Do all of your hmwk and you should be good. Also, if you do the hmwk, you should be set for the quizzes. & if u stay later in the tests and ask ?s, she'll answer most of them.

Don't get on her bad side, but she is an extremely awesome person. People who complain about her are ex engineering or science majors that simply aren't meant for college. She's very passionate about chemistry and if you show interest she'll be your best friend. She'll make you a better person and take you to the next level. Definitely try and take her classes.

Lot of notes, material can be hard but that's chem. No homework although she wants you to read ahead before the lesson sometimes. Some of the class failed or dropped. Got an A, and so did a few others. If you do the review problems and pay attention each day, you'll do fine. One of the better chem teachers.

Funny, but serious. A good teacher be prepared to take notes and do problems in class. Always willing to stay and help if you needed it, gave pre tests that were exactly like the test. Be prepared to take a quiz every week, she keeps you on top of your stuff but doesnt over assign work

you have to be a dumbass to get a bad grade in this class. it's alittle difficult but you just have to do your work. she is fun and makes class interesting. if u took chem in high school you'll be fine!! i'd take her over any other chem teacher

Amazing! Sands is very helpful and nice. I failed the 1st test but she told me not to drop, good thing bc i ended up with an A. Her tests were hard but as long as you do the hw you will be fine. I like chem because of her. She will answer all of your ?'s, she holds review sessions, very helpful, so dont be afraid to ask! Sandy u r the ****!!
