Comment:
Louise is an extremely compassionate professor. She is respectful of students and their individual interests and paths. I had a great experience in her class (mindfulness meditation). The work load was fair, and she was open to changing the class if students had suggestions to improve the flow of things.

i spent a ton of money for a theater degree and learned more on my first two professional theater gigs than i did under this prof for 4 years. she is so flaky and has no clue about how the theatre world works. other than the avant garde works she is interested in, she won't prepare you for what you need!

I had two theatre classes with Louise Smith. I found her to be very knowledgable and extremely helpful. She has a difficult job running a department that is underappreciated. She does very well with mediocre students with very little passion.

she's so flaky. and teaches theater she enjoys as opposed to theater that actually prepares students for the task of getting a job in the theater world!

Louise is a very intuitive and insightful professor, always sensitive to the moods of the class and adjusting her lesson plans to match + improve our moods (she teaches theatre). However, she does not let her friendships with students sway her.

She failed me despite the fact I did all the work! She allowed her favorite students miss a ton of classes, but the second I was over the three class limit (due to having mono!), I got a nasty evaluation about "not careing enough about the subject&qu
