Class wasn't too bad. Just show up, take notes, and study them. Going to her office hours is a really good idea, she will tell you how to correct projects & let you write down answers from past exams for the final. Lectures seemed super long at times but she will give extra credit if you have been to most of the pop quizzes. Could be funny at times

Terrible class. Lectures are boring and not very knowledgable. Makes class a discussion because shes not a good professor. Knows a lot on the subject but doesnt send the message well.

Very knowledgable and well-spoken. Somehow makes a large class feel like a small group discussion. One of the best professors I've had in terms of clarity and presence. Expects hand-written notes, but generates concise and interesting content to make note-taking easy.

Your attendance is not mandatory but it would be VERY wise to attend. She does a good job explaining material and will be helpful if you have any questions. She gives a brief study guide for each exam which is very useful. Book use is recommended but not necessary to do well. Also, office hours are a GOOD IDEA. I got points back on every exam.

I loved this class so much and am going to miss it next semester! Prof. Brown is an excellent prof. and definitely knows what she's talking about. She makes the classes fun and interesting. You don't have to attend but I recommend you do because she gives extra credit pop quizzes. Study, study, study! Also, skim/read the book. Loved this class!!!!!

An AMAZING teacher. Best I've ever had. Extremely knowledgeable in her field (has been featured on CNN, The Today Show, and in USA Today)and very interesting to listen to. She's funny, kind, and very smart. I adore Dr. Brown as a professor. LOT of notes though, pretty much constant note-taking through the whole class. But you'll learn a lot.

She writes all notes on the board so sometimes it can be hard to see or read them. However, she is very helpful and explains material well. Grade is based on 3 exams, and a paper. She randomly takes attendance for extra credit. Don't buy the book, she gives you everything you need to know in the notes. You take A LOT of notes. The final is cumulative.

great prof. she uses tons of notes so your always taking notes, but tests are straight from notes and she gives out projects which are good grade boosters. Overall, an easy class if you take good notes.
