Do not take if you want a flexible online class! All tests & exams are due on friday nights, no exceptions. If you work nights, he expects you to take off. He is very rude, misspells in emails, uploaded his syllabus in an excel spreadsheet. instructions are vague and he's not helpful at all. Don't waste the time or money, pick something else.

He was amazing!!! By far one of my favorite instructors. He isnt easy at all but if you put effort into the class then youll be fine! He gave me so many resources I needed when I had questions, he graded fairly and made his expectations very clear.

This professor deserves to be fired! He is extremely rude and UNPROFESSIONAL. He is a Communication professor and yet he still manages to misspell words in his course announcements!! Yet he will give you a ZERO on assignment for one misspelled word. He is vague in the syllabus and you spend the whole course trying to decipher his expectations!

Dr. P is the most awesome prof at USF. He cares that his students get a real world experience. He is tough but fair and very approachable. Took every class I could with him. My best college experience!

Okay I am an above average student with a GPA (3.86) and I received a B in Dr. P's class. His class is not particularly hard in the assignments given (final project, projects, and group projects) got A+ on all of those. However Dr. P's midterm final and quizzes are more difficult. Can only take the tests on Fridays from 7-11 am. uses proctorio!!!

THE WORST. business class not a communication class. Disrespectful & rude. Had two entire lectures about his political views of the government, made it clear that he thinks poor people are all lazy & deserve the worst. Lectures opinions & little facts. quizzes and test times: open on 7pm on FRIDAY & close at noon the NEXT DAY. SO IDIOTIC!

I took three of his classes. There is no flexibility, group projects are live and have a mandatory 24 hour window that he assigns with no consideration of student's other schedules. Testing windows are 7pm Friday night - 11am Sat morning. This is unreasonable for an adult learner with a job. The tests are tricky and trivial.

Pettegrew is nice to talk if you're doing your work, but the advice he offers for the workplace can be damaging--for example, you don't provide your marriage status and age on your resume but he thinks you should. His political and personal beliefs weigh way too heavily into his lectures, making it difficult to learn the material.

TERRIBLE PROFESSOR! He is rude towards students and gladly treats you as if you are stupid. He has a very bad reputation in the Communication department with students AND other professors. He literally graded me to be .20% away from the next letter grade. REALLY!? and his 10 question quizzes are based off of 6+ chapters. information OVERLOAD.

Worst professor I have ever had by far. Took him online for 2 classes and both were very challenging. Tests are very hard and the information is very hard to gather to do well on the tests. He is very rude and doesn't understand that online classes are supposed to work around students schedules. His 16 hour test windows suck. DO NOT TAKE HIM!

I didn't even make it 3 days into the semester without dropping this course. Dr. P is extremely condescending towards his students. He posted an announcement with our team assignments and my name was not included, so I sent him a message on Canvas only to get a rude response about how I was supposed to have emailed him instead as per the syllabus.

This guys awesome. If you don't mind doing some work and actually participating in college instead of just floating by, take him. His lectures make sense and he doesn't sugar coat anything which is exactly what this generation in college needs. Thumbs up

I don't understand why Dr. P has bad reviews, he is one of the few professors at the university that actually cares about his students. He will go out of his way to make sure you understand his lectures and will help you review anything you got wrong on his tests. He's EXTREMELY helpful, so knowledgeable, and really cool. Just make sure to study.

Fox News mouthpiece, and has the same sentiment toward students ("you get what you deserve"), also if you don't like online classes avoid this one because he does almost everything online, in the physical version of the class he just plays past lectures he recorded of himself, paranoid that students are trying to trick him, "no."

Watch out before you take this online class. "Dr.P" has great lectures and material, but doesn't help you at all succeed on tests. Questions are always tricky questions that may be multiple or none. He makes you take the exams at 7:30AM on SATURDAYS. BEWARE.

Don't know what he's like in person, but online, he seems more interested in tripping up his students than in their success. Seems to have a very low level of computer literacy for someone trying to teach online. Has very Fox-news based opinions about everything.. skip it if you're looking for a smart professor who doesn't try to fail his students.

DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR !!! Test every other Saturday Morning at 7:30am. 40 minutes for 50 questions for Exams at 7:30am on Saturday mornings. Does not care about you as an individual. Horrible class boring online lectures. The teacher just talks about himself and his accomplishments and who he knows. WORST class of my USF career!
