I really liked taking Mot and Emotion with Duquette. He uses films to help explain the motivation behind the characters which is a different approach from any other professor I've taken. He gives clear guidelines for the papers and curves all the exams. DEF get the textbook and do the study guide for the exams!!

hes a really good professor. the papers are easy, you are just analyzing movie scenes and he gives you the most clear guideline for them. if you stick to that you'll be fine. exams are pretty straightforward also.

Phenomenal. He is worth it in every way. He is a practicing psychologist and brings interesting and relevant examples to each class discussion. He really knows what he is doing. I thoroughly enjoyed this course and wish I could take more with him. Very insightful and charming. Take him, it is worth it. You learn and if you try you will have an A.

Motivation and Emotion. He is a take charge professor who enlivens the classroom with intriguing powerpoint lectures. Very kind, laid-back, charming and professional. Your grade will only be based on your 3 or 4 papers you submit via e-mail; you trace a film character using psychological steps that fit the character using the class text. An easy A.

Tests are hard, but he curves like it's his JOB! My D- turned into an A. Plus, gives an optional extra credit paper that can add 10 points onto your FINAL grade...that's the grade after all your tests are accumulated. Nice guy.Gets a little boring. Recommended. His class is very boring but if you even open the book you will do fine on the midterm & final because they are multiple choice and he curves more than anyone - a 72 on the midterm was an A. He lets you out early but you don't even have to go.

awesome teacher- lets you out early, really nice and funny guy, knows his stuff. no tests quizzes or homework, just midterm and final which are ridiculously curved. doesnt care about attendance!!

This guy is a piece of cake. He may seem very boring at times but he has a point to his tedious tactics. Easy to pass his class even if you don't show up for every session. Mostly teaches night classes but you can get out by 7:15 most days.
