Ive never been amazing at math but she really took the time to explain everything and made sure everyone understood, I ended up doing really well. Attendance isnt required but it would be hard to keep up and pass the tests if you dont go.

Honestly, Im terrible at math and I was so worried for this course since I could barely pass algebra. But, shes SO caring, always willing to help and explain, and gives you plenty of opportunities to get a better grade if you lack in one area like tests or homework.

Ligas is definitely one of the great professors. I took the same subject before with a different professor and failed, but I took her and she made everything seem so easy -- she breaks down every concept in several ways. Don't hesitate to ask for help because she will happily help if you're lost. You sadly have to pay for MathLab to do the HW...

SHE GIVES EXTRA CREDIT AND IF SHE GETS THROUGH THE MATERIAL SHE PLANNED FOR THAT CLASS SHE'LL LET YOU OUT EARLY 100% OF THE TIME. I HAVE GOTTEN OUT OF CLASS AN HOUR EARLY PROBABLY LIKE 5 TIMES. SHE GIVES EXTRA CREDIT FOR THE TESTS THAT IS USUALLY VERY EASY BECAUSE YOU CAN USE YOUR NOTES.

Professor LIgas is a highly recommended choice for math. She is really easy going and very friendly. You'll have 3 tests and a final, and no homework. She gives ample extra credit, and allows a note card for the final. Unfortunately you do still need to get the textbook.

Awesome professor. Tests are based on study guides. Gives you an extra credit assignment for each test worth up to 10 points. Easy A. Only need book for class problems she assigns every class. She drops two lowest assignments if you miss a few days. Easy A as long as you use the study guides and take notes. Only lectures for half the class.

Professor Ligas is such an amazing math teacher. If you have her you are in the clear. She will do anything she can to make sure you understand the curriculum. Homework is done together in groups of 4 or 5, so you're able to converse with other students who can help you if you need it also. She's a great Professor and I would love to take her again

Hands down the nicest professor I've had in my four years at JWU. She really cares about her students and wants to make your class time enjoyable. Always clear with deadlines, and has grades posted hours after handing in classwork or taking tests. Would highly recommend if you want to learn in an enjoyable setting!

Amazing professor. I was so horrible that math that I didnt even take it my senior year in highschool. This professor is so nice, ask lots of questions because she always answers them until you understand the material! Home work is very minimal (she has you do it in class). Take lots of notes. she goes over the material very well. it's pretty simple if you pay attention during class. recommend going to every class because she does cover new material and it's hard to teach it to yourself. she gives homework every day so do that too. it helps. definitely recommend her. she's such an awesome, nice woman! going to sweden w/ her in spring! :D
