Great professor with lots of passion. He has an insane amount of knowledge regarding authors and artist, and will spout names in different languages through the whole lecture. He also usually wears pretty awesome outfits As long as you familiarize yourself with the material, you'll do fine in the class.

Extremely hard grader, everything needs to be perfect in order to get higher then 80%. Expects you to have a ton of background knowledge on the authors being talked about and on what was happening at the time. His test are hit and miss, sometimes they can be pretty easy and other times they can be difficult and ask about very abstract stuff.

If you pay attention in class, you will be just fine. I usually get bored in these kind of classes, but Prof. Brinker has made this class so enjoyable! He also did not have us read that much since we spend a lot of time on visual art corresponding to each art movement, which was extremely helpful in understanding how it manifested in literature.

Extremely difficult class. He knows his stuff, I'll give him that, but his grading is extremely ludicrous. On a paper, nobody scored over an 85% and 6 of us had our papers returned to us to redo. Upon getting their papers back, he made little to no clarity as to what was wrong. Not sure why he grades like this and fails students so heavily.

Best literature professor. returns work in a timely manner. Makes class exciting and interesting. Lectures are long but He gives valuable information that is useable on test and papers. I highly recommend him for World Masterpieces II

What an enjoyable class. Brinker is hilarious and witty, knowledgable as hell, and taught me a lot. Stylish too. Didn't know I could come to enjoy this class so much. Choose Brinker over any other prof! Don't slack off or you wont do well, bottom line. Read! He can tell if you don't, and it will show come exam time. Trust me.

Essays are pretty easy, he goes through all content very thoroughly and is always willing to explain things. All in all, great experience and he only completely blew up at us once... which was absolutely terrifying, but I think he was just trying to cancel class. He also has an impeccably perfect sense of style which is sure to entertain.

University Seminar 1 with Professor Brinker was an easy class. You could get away without reading the book for the class and the essays were simple. He is very clear with what he expects from his students and always repeats due dates and makes sure every student has their work turned it. He is fair to all students. Great class!

He is good teacher, he really knows his stuff more than any teacher i've had. but he's very hard grader, not fair at all, he expect the students to write like novelists and his comments on returned papers need some form of magic to figure them out. bottomline if your major realted to the subject like english or humanities take him, if not DONT!
