Dr. Otto is by far the best English teacher I have ever had. He really cares about his students and he wants you to succeed. At first it is difficult but once you understand it's an easy A if you just do the work. Show up to class and you will do fine.

At first it his class seemed difficult and I thought I was going to fail but after half the semester the class got easier and if your failing or want an A he will help you by making up papers.

Professor Otto is awesome! He is a little hard to understand because of his age and he has bad hearing so you have to speak up, but I learned soooooo much in his class! Sad he is retiring. :( He has one semester left before he leaves though, TAKE HIM WHILE YOU CAN!!!!!

Great teacher, was iffy about him at the beginning but his class isn't hard. If you want to learn take Otto. Im a first time student in college had him my first semester and Im taking him again! He gives a lot of daily work and extra credit for those who think they wont get an A super easy. 6 papers but theyre not hard at all. I easily made an A.

At first you will want to drop the class but just stick with it. Do your work, come to class and you will get an easy A. just do as he says and you will be fine. Good teacher, he really cares about us learning something from his class and have a good future.

Unclear on criteria. Not unusual to receive the day's assignment 30 minutes into class and due before class is over. If you don't know an answer to a question get ready to sing "Deep in The Heart of Texas" or "Home on The Range" in front of everyone. He does not use email, so don't bother with that either. I dropped, it was so impossible.

I literally could not stop laughing in his class, he's a stubborn older man but his stories are great and his personality is hilarious! He can be a dry and dull but he's incredibly smart and forces us to do our best and makes us work for it! This professor may seem like he doesn't care but he just wants us to be prepared for the real world!

Dr. Otto is a great Professor! My biggest suggestion is if you are stuck, ask questions! Instructions will not always be clear and he has very high expectations, so it is up to you to get clarification. Very inspirational and full of information.

He can come off as very stubborn and opinionated, but he is actually a very good professor. TURN YOUR WORK IN ON TIME! He can be very unclear with a lot of things, but the best advise I can give you is to make yourself known. "IN A GOOD WAY!" Do the work, participate, and once you get to 1000 you no longer have to show up! :)

Okay let me start by saying that he is extremely intelligent. He is hard of hearing, and it can get in the way. He is very aware of his bad hearing, and tells you to just speak up. When I first got in this class, I thought I was gonna drop it, or fail. It gets easier after the first few weeks. If unclear, ask him to explain. Okay teacher overall.

Easy A.Must come to class. He does a quiz every day, but they are easy, just make sure to read the story he gives you. At first he seems hard but he is really not, plus he will give you tons of extra credit to make sure you pass. Be sure not to over think the papers, just listen and do exactly what he tells you. Easy A! He seems tough at first, but then he softens up and is pretty funny. Very helpful to students, just ask... and talk loud, he is a bit hard of hearing, but he knows how to laugh about it. Really great professor. He has a point system, you will always know where you stand in his class. PS you do have to actually work, no free ride.

An excellent instructor, He is very smart and knows what he is doing, gives lots of homework and assignments but I you do the work then there isn't anything to worry about. Don't listen to the lazy students who complaint on his system. He is an experienced teacher and we should respect him for that.

It is an easy "A". All you have to do is show up and do the work. He is hard hearing, but fun. He will give a lot of extra credit. He works on a point system so once you hit a certain amount of points, you don't have to go to class anymore.

Did this during the summer. A lot of reading. It is easy though as long as you write the way that he wants the paper. He will pretty much tell you what he wants in the essays. He gives so much extra credit. It's an easy a if you just do the work. He's kind of interesting, but he can't hear at all and can be kind of confusing.
