Lud is a great example of what academia should be. He is clear, helpful, and interested in the material and his students. His wry sense of humor makes somewhat dry material interesting. I appreciated that he did not grade inflate because it made me want to be a better student. I was looking to learn, not get an easy A, so I enjoyed his courses.

Fabulous and generous professor. Presents material in a clear and understandable fashion. Honestly cares about students on an academic and personal level. AND in the entire semester, I never heard him say one single "like" or "uhmmm"

Interesting subject matter, but he just rambles on word for word from the readings. Very hard grader and his comments are usually meaningless on graded assignments. Can be rude and sharp with students. I would not take this class again. His lectures are disappointing.
