Scene painting was my favorite class. So much fun and really learned a lot. I definitely exceeded my own expectations for how well I was going to do with the whole painting thing, mostly due to Lynn's encouragement. His stage mgr. advice is always spot on, and freely given, as well. He will be sorely missed. -Becky

Lynn is pretty cool. As a design student from a different major who took his class as an elective, I appreciated his querkiness and intersting twist on things. He made me think, affected my design and changed my point of view.

No one that I have encountered since highschool has affected me more than Lynn. He has helped refine the way I think and design. He is the only person to ever take the time to help me understand what I am doing with my work and my life. Lynn is family. I will miss him dearly. He's retiring, not dying. Regards, Drew

Lynn is very interesting, both in and out of class. Approachable, talkative, and willing to listen to any problems you have. Excellent teacher. Enjoys relating his earlier years to whatever he is teaching. Fun and interesting topics discussed. Tests are rather difficult, unless you have adequate notes and can understand Lynn-isms.

I loved, loved, loved this class. Lynn is very helpful and funny! The class was fun! The hardest part is the final when you have to pic a picture and repaint it, but that is even fun! I am not a theatre major and I loved taking this class with him!

Lockrow's classes are constructivist; he allows students to explore the theories he covers in lecture through practicum, and gives valuable feedback on projects. His solid work ethic (summers at Lost Colony) carries over into his pedagogy; he works hard and expects that of students.
