She's not a terrible professor. As long as you do the work, show up for class, and make an effort, she grades fairly easily (IF you do all of those things). I put almost no effort into the three essays we had assigned (50% of our grade), and I ended the class with an A. I'd definitely take her again.

This class and professor genuinely scared me. As a first semester freshman I was not ready for this class. All we did was talk about monsters for hours on end and I would zone out most of the time. BORING. And she doesnt know how to have a conversation so dont even try to talk to her. Do not take!!

Do not take a class with her! I've never had a harder time with a teacher or professor in my life. Her expectations for assignments don't match what is written on the assignment sheets. She's rude, degrading, and overly emotional. She does not care if you do well, all she cares about is somehow proving that she is smarter than you. Avoid her!

Parker is well known for English majors. I have been warned about her. Quite honestly, if you do the readings, participate, and give her your attention during class, you can survive. She is a tough grader, but if you follow her directions and study guides and communicate with her, you cannot fail. She knows when you put in time, effort, and work.

Professor Parker is a tough grader when it comes to grading papers. Her rubrics and assignments are not always the most clear when first presented. However, she is willing to discuss the assignment rubric until the entire class understands what she is looking for. If you go to her office hours, she is willing to help you and provide good feedback!

When you ask for help, she bash on your ideas and make things even more confusing which is why it is not best to ask for help. Worse class I have ever took. STAY AWAY FROM PARKER! Trust me. Past evaluations of Professor Parker should be completely discarded and ignored. She is one of the most caring, intelligent, and helpful professors I have ever had. She pushes her students to their fullest potential, and my writing kills have improved drastically from her class. She is my favorite professor at FSU and I HIGHLY recommend her.

Professor Parker has been one of the best professors I have had at Framingham State. She is extremely helpful when going to her office to discuss papers. Interesting discussions. Very knowledgeable of subject matter, and also very enthusiastic, which makes class entertaining. Tests follow the same format each time, and as long as you do the readings and take notes on key points you'll be fine.

I took a class with this professor ONCE. She actually made me afraid to take more 300-level courses because of how strict she was in her grading. There is no pleasing her no matter what you write. On top of that, she only dedicates a half hour to the subject matter and then drones off topic for the rest of the class. I would not recommend her.
