This dude is absolutely useless as well as the class. I am an anthropology major and took his class because its required and there was only one period of it offered. Avoid this professor like the plague. He's inarticulate, dull, and condescending.

Super nice and very helpful, but he has no idea how to use PowerPoint. This makes the online class really difficult, but he's great at discussion and very helpful. Despite issues with the slides and such, I got an A in his class. Online discussions, books, and films are interesting, and he knows his stuff.

extremely unclear with what he wants, cancelled 10 sessions before the semester even started, everything worth a grade is on elearning besides attendence, rambles on during class and i can never follow discussion. doesn't post grades ever and overall i feel as though he doesn't know what he's talking about. super redundant. skip him!

You will not be able to stay awake in class. He stutters with everything he says so its more work to hear what he is saying let alone understand the concepts. The books are stupid and the class is an extreme liberal bias.

Incredibly boring. Needs to take some classes on public speaking (he seems like he's always nervouse) and making PowerPoints. He seems like a nice guy though and he knows his stuff. I attend class even though I don't pay attention because he shows videos a lot, which I find helpful. Pay close attention in discussion. Study and you'll pass.

He is a really great guy and he is helpful but...the class is the most boring thing i have ever been in, you HAVE to know you stuff because his exams are all essays, the class is pretty easy i wouldn't worry about it but you have to attend the boring lectures to get an A on the exams

Worst public speaker EVER. I thought the class would be somewhat interesting but I had to go to lab just to figure out what lecture was about. This is not because I skipped but because I couldn't stay awake. He needs to take a public speaking class and learn how to put a power point together; black and red in a lecture hall does not work. I trie

Boring class... Attend most lectures and listen but mostly to watch the videos cuz they are a big part of the exams. Attend the section, the TA is very helpful.

His lecture is probably the most boring thing you will ever experience and i stopped going because he just started showing movies everytime and he puts his slides up online. When I did listen to him it was hilarious he couldn't put a sentece together without studdering or forgetting what he was saying. His test are easy though and his TA's are good

The professor did not know what he was talking about at all. There were times I understood him, but he always seemed to go off in another direction and paused in thought. His slides were not in the right color to even have students copy or read, and his TA's were a lot better at making it interesting than he was. Make sure you read the books.

This instructor was so boring and went off subject more times than I can count. He was too philosophical. We didn't even learn the basics of Cultural Anthropology and he sounded more lost than the students.

I could not understand a word this guy said. Don't waste time at lecture, I think I went 3 or 4 times and watched movies. Participate in online discussions, use his study guide and write his 2 short essays and you can scam an easy B in this sleeper for a class.

Nice guy, but a very boring and timid speaker. I've found myself falling asleep 2-3 times in that class. He's willing to help you out if you ask for it. Tests are essay based, so make sure you check out the study guides he gives out before each exam, so you don't BS too much. He reminds me of a big teddy-bear, for some reason...

not a bad class if you're looking for a nap. He never talks about the reading, and it's only loosely related to what he talks about. He gives a huge waste of time project at the end. The tests are easy if you actually go to class though.

He's one of the smartest in the department yet he's very humble and compassionate and respects his students. You will learn more from his social commentary than the books you might read (and he seems to choose good books.) Class is very informal, usually like a big discussion. I'll definitely be taking him for my writing-intensive class.

Very easy class: attend lecture & write papers. However, it is sooooooooooo boring. He doesn't make the class very interesting. A few in the class like it, but I find droning on about neoliberalism extremely boring. I'd take any biological anthropology or archaeology class over this anyday.
