She's a funny teacher, really liked listening to her. Really sweet lady that is more than happy to help out anyone that asks for help. Gets to know her students and is flexible on deadlines, just communicate with her. Would definitely take again, but there is a lot of writing so just stay on top of your work

Professor Murphy is awesome! Great teacher, very personable, and really helpful. I took her for english 100 and 165 and passed both with an A. Both classes required a lot of work (mainly essays) but she is always available to meet with you and go over them. I got A's on all my essays because I had her proofread them. Highly recommend taking her!

Very, very nice professor. Truly cares for students academic success(considering she read each person's strategy draft on the essay individually and replied with feedbacks via email). The problem is that the class is hard, a lot of work/homework/outside of class time dedicated. Grade completely based on 5 essays. I had to withdraw due to heavy work

I took her for 100 and 165. 165 is much harder, but Prof Murphy makes the course bearable. The class is fun, but also educational, so you feel like you're learning something. Try to start early on assignments and ask her for help on anything, and she will gladly help you. She is somewhat lenient and her criticsms are very good recommendations

Ms. Murphy is a great English teacher. I took her online course for Engl 110 and she figured out a great system for keeping confusion to a minimum on a district-hosted site. She is very easy to work with and backs up her online class by being easily accessible and responding quickly to questions. Her class was interesting to top it of!

She's the best English teacher I've ever had! Very understanding, fun and easy going. She is very open to different perspectives and knows how to comment on your work without putting you down. She grades easy too! I had a 3 hour class so an essay was due each week. If you don't mind the work and want to learn how to think critically, TAKE HER!

EXCELLENT Teacher! I have enrolled in ENG 100 about 10 times & have always had horrible teachers and dropped. She is a shining example of what a professor SHOULD be: supportive, helpful, funny and dedicated to helping her students succeed. Her online course requires a lot of work, but if you commit to it, and contact her for help, you will do fine.

I took this as an online class. Not the hardest teacher I've ever had, but she was not an easy grader - and some of her feedback/comments were ridiculously condescending. Also, be prepared for LOTS of busywork. It's an online class, so expect it - but lots of quizzes, lots of forum participation. I ended up with an A, but it required some effort.

Took her online class for engl 100 & 110. She is super nice, really really helpful and is one of the only english teachers i've ever had that actually provided USEFUL (even if it seems harsh) feedback. Would definitely recommend her.

Took the online course. Only instructor I have ever had that I have never met in person! Seems like a big sweetie in email and online stuff. Can't speak to her grading, as I always got A's, but having seen the rough drafts of my classmates, they probably need some tough love anyway. ;-) Best use of "online" component in a course I've had.

I took Engl 100 AND Engl 165[Online!]. This is my very favorite teacher! She is professional, competent, passionate about the subject, clear, FUN=the perfect teacher! I love her british accent and sharp humor! Fun,fun, fun!You will have to work hard but you wont even mind--she is that good!

Great instructor! Really nice human being. Funny at times. I took her online class. Great, honest feedback. I learned alot from her. I found the online class to be pretty easy. Just read the assigned material, participate in the online discussions, write assigned essays and pass the class. It was that simple. Easy "A" or "B."
