Dr. Smethurst was such a great professor! She was readily available for help and had very clear expectations for the class. Homework comes out of the book. Tests are mostly grammar and translations. I hope I have Dr. Smethurst in the future!

True, very kind...but this class was so simplistic, based on nothing but mindless trivia and factoids! watch tv for an hour, and then hear her talk for 15 minutes about the umpteen productions of the opera she's seen. show me an opera every week for 6 months and i could teach that class with no prep
