it is not an easy class especially for beginners. hence it is an introductory course i recommend picking another professor. if you have any experience it will help but i guarantee you not a lot. if you skip you will get lost.

I really enjoyed this class! Mrs. Cummings was very helpful and taught VB very well. Going into the class, I was a bit worried, but she taught very well and made the class easy! I am glad I took the course with her, I definitely would take another from her! If you have the option to take her for VB, do it! You won't regret it!

Dr. Cummings is an amazing instructor. Everyone at PSU should take a class from this awesome lady. Easy to understand, tests are always based on lectures. Show up and you will get an A or a B for sure. She is Irish and has plenty of great jokes!!!

Absolutely hilarious. She cracks jokes all the time. Shows you a program to demonstrate new material and then thoroughly explains what it does and how to use it. Homework assignments are programs done outside of class and submitted electronically. Last couple of weeks were just time to work on the final program. Keep the handouts for the 2 tests!

Tests are tough(especially test 2) so make sure you study. Homework is simple, she gives you all the necessary info you need to get 100%. She is nice but class is extremely boring.

Don't ask Dr. Cummings when the test grades will be posted-- she doesn't like that question. Class consists of 3 tests, a couple quizzes, and some Excel and Access assignments. If you know how to use a computer, you should be pretty good to go. She does a good job of keeping class fairly interesting.

I took her Visual Basic class, the last year its getting taught. She is by far one the best professors I have had yet. She will use her irish accent for jokes that will make the entire class laugh. Show up to class and she will defiantly remember you. You wont ever need the textbook.

Class was super easy, and still very interesting. Dr. Cummings is the nicest, coolest lady, and one of my favorite people on campus now. And she has by far the best accent of any professor EVER. I would HIGHLY recommend taking a class from her to anyone!

Took MIS from her. This class is an absolute joke. There is nothing to be learned here whatsoever if you have any sort of computer literacy. She seems pleasant enough, but asking questions beyond what she wants to talk about is frowned upon. Waste of time and money. Do yourself a favor and take another elective if you can.

FABULOUS! loved everything about this professor. Attendance isnt required but she obviously takes a liking to the ones who go to class. note are not needed either as long as you have a basic knowledge of computers and technology. expect an A!

Cummings is very informational making it easy to retain information. Go to class; it's easy point and the quizzes are worked together in class just for participation points. There is some extra points given just for coming to class. Very lenient. Her accent cracks me up. I would drink with this Irish woman any day! :)

First off, don't buy the book. We didn't look at it once, and she wrote it. Her tests are pretty basic and if you paid somewhat attention in class or read the powerpoints, you'll do fine. The key to making an A is attending (easy quiz points). She's a great professor with a great accent. I hope to take her again sometime!
