Comment:

Mahmoud is awesome! So funny and wants all his students to pass. Listened to us when we asked for problems and solutions to help with the homework. We had three tests, ten homeworks, and the final. If you get an A on the final you'll get an A in the class.

Mahmoud is tough but a great professor. Pay attention to lectures because he makes mistakes sometimes which can be frustrating. If you go to every class and participate hell probably give you extra credit at the end of the semester. Most tests are open notes/you get a cheat sheet

Comment:

Talking about Mahmoud, There is nowhere to start, he talks math. He is very clear about explanations, and will often go above and beyond to show a good example. He really cares about your grade, he is always able to make a joke. His tests can be hard, but if you do bad; he will scale it, drop it, or allow retakes. I HIGHLY recommend this guy!

Comment:

Very hard class. A passing grade at Bridgewater to count would be a 70%. In his class a 70 was actually a 75% because he graded out of 105%. I dropped the class and he just said said alright without trying to convince me to try again.

Comment:

I took his class over winter-break so we only had three weeks but El-Hashash laid it down clearly. Three HW, three quizzes, and three exams, one each over the three weeks. Was able to take quizzes and exams twice, you had three attempts per question on the HW, and he scaled all quizzes and exams, very nice and would definitely recommenced.

He verbally attacked me over email and was extremely rude when I didn't respond fast enough. I am shocked BSU would let a staff member talk like that to his students who pay to take his course. Would never recommend.

Dr. El-Hashash is the most caring professor I've ever had. He cares about students progress and works so hard for you to help you pass. I took this class before and failed. I took this class again and flourished. Anyone taking a math class online should definitely take it with Dr. El-Hashash. All I can say is THANK YOU

I took Foundations of mathematical reasoning. I am not good at math and found this class super hard. It was online homework, quizzes, and tests. Although I really struggled the professor was awesome. Everything was scaled in your favor and he made sure that all students were happy. I really struggled in this class but would take again with him.

I usually tend to be terrible at math but I did very well thanks to him!! He scales the grades and promptly answers emails. There were 3 homeworks, 3 quizzes, and 3 tests so it is very manageable for a 5-week summer course! He even was generous enough to give us all 100's on our last quiz!! Overall very happy that I decided to take this course!

Hate math, loved this class. Math is a difficult subject for me but Mahmoud assured me that as long as I worked hard, I would pass! Tests, and quizzes come right from the homework, so it's really easy to get a handle on the material.

Excellent professor. Kind, funny, and genuinely wants you to pass. He makes it very difficult to fail. Do the work, take the quizzes/exams, and you'll pass. One of the most amazing professors, really cares about his students and wants them to succeed.

I took this course because it was mostly online but I was nervous about this professor because of other students ratings. I am glad I gave him the benefit of the doubt. There was a good amount of work and the exams in class were difficult. The online exams we could try twice and scaled all of them. A little hard to understand with his accent.

Honestly I was dreading having to take this class as Math is my worst subject AND it was during summer. However, Profsssor El-Hashash completely changed my mindset. The course load is moderate, 3 hws, 3 quizzes, and 3 exams (you get two chances per assignment) He responds to emails immediately, gives you study guides and is so caring and funny!!

He's been my favorite professor. He's funny and helpful and cares about his students. It's basically impossible to fail this course with him as a professor. He scaled all my test and my two finals. I would really suggest taking this class with him as your prof.

Hands down one of the absolute best professors I've ever had. Extremely helpful, always available for any questions and very fair when grading assignments! I thoroughly enjoyed having him and will CERTAINLY be taking more classes with him! THANK YOU PROFESSOR!!!

I hated math but the class was very easy. I took him for contemporary math. He let you use textbooks for test in class. Nice Guy but does not speak English very well.

Honestly one of the toughest classes I have ever taken but then again Calculus isn't meant to be easy. Mahmoud is such a funny guy and honestly cares for his students. He gives a ridiculous amount of homework but they are a lot harder than his exams! He scales your grade in the end and thankfully that was the only way I was able move on to Calc 2
