I took Applied Business Calculus (Math144) with him over the summer 1 session. Since it is shortened, he has to remove certain material usually covered. He will stop and go over something if you don't understand. Use tutoring resources. Not a terribly hard class. I'm a MGMT major, not Math, and I did well.

He is a really nice and funny man. I just felt like he did not explain things easily and sometimes I would feel lost. Overall, I really liked him as a person but not as a professor.

He's a nice guy, and he knows his stuff, but he's not very good at answering questions. He'll usually attempt to answer it, but he never seems to fully comprehend what it is anyone is asking. If you're not great at math, I wouldn't recommend him.

Take him! Teaches new concept & goes over even HW #s for that topic. Assigns odd #s for HW (not graded) which is good bc u can check work in back of book. Goes over HW odd #s each class. Reviews for exams, and exam questions always same setup as odd HW #s, so benefits you to do them. Attendance not mandatory, but attending only helps you do better!

He's not bad. I feel bad because he's a nice guy, but he's really boring. At first he's funny, but then it's all the same jokes. Plus, everything he taught, I had already learned in highschool, so it was a big waste of time. It's also hard to concentrate because he takes so long to do one problem.

umm hes okay. if you ask questions in class he will not answer them correctly even though you ask them 5 times. his tests are wierd and he only gives 3 so you have to do good on all of them. overall i hate going to this class because it is so boring and i do not learn much

funny personality, fairly easy gets students attention but horrible teacher. he makes it too easy because doing homework is optional and he doesn't count it which is hard for anyone having the will to study . theres only 3 test and 1 exam and if you mess up 2 your screwed. he doesn't care about the students and does not give extra credit.

THIS MAN IS THE GREATEST MAN TO WALK THE FACE OF THE EARTH. He could teach a monkey how to do advanced calc II. He's the only math teacher I've ever enjoyed. He's funny and amazingly helpful. I love Walta!

I loved math til this class. hes so nice, adorable, and such a sweet old man... hes just obnoxious by the end of the semester. He only gives 3 tests and a final, and theres no practice tests or study guides and to top it off, the book is very poorly written. Some people did well...

Although attendence is not mandatory if you miss class you will fall behind and he only gives three tests. Textbook is not well written and sometimes confusing to read. I still reccomend him for a stat class.
