Ok usually I'm not one to get on here and chew out teachers but I honestly hope this guy gets fired. He is the extremly unclear when teaching, Not to mention he also go an attitude with me and my lab partner for asking him a lot of questions during a class and presumed to smack the desk while raising his voice. This guy is terrible don't take him!!

As much as I like Dr. Karimi as a person, he is one of the worst teachers I have had at IUP. He explains things very poorly, and does not tell you why certain derivations and equations are being given. The lack of context makes it extremely hard to understand when to use equations and when not to. I will be happy if I have no more classes from him.

The class is hard to begin with but he makes it ten times harder. Do all the homework and study it! Also expect to memorize equations because he expects you to know everything.

As a transfer student, I found Dr. Karimi one of the fairest professors I've ever encountered. There is quite a bit of online homework involved, but it's necessary and helpful when preparing for the three exams. Just pay attention in class and you'll never even need the textbook.

Dr. Karimi is a great and kind professor. However, his tests are brutal. He only gives three test, which are strictly multiple choice. He gives homework which is equivalent to a test grade. Attendance is mandatory in his class and part of the grade, so he checks almost every class. The only extra credit he offers is if you show work on the test.

I had him for lab and lecture. In lecture, he can be a little bad at explaining things, and he's kind of boring to listen to, but he gives formula sheets & tests are multiple choice. In lab, he's very bad at keeping track of who needed him first. I spent 45 minutes (no exaggeration) waiting for him to help me once. Sometimes, he just ducks out.

What is there to say about Dr Karimi and a high level physics course. Its going to be hard and one should know that before even taking the course. Make sure you study the homework problems he gives you because that is the exam. If you ever have an issue with anything he is easy to talk to in his office hours. Be prepared to study for this course.

He's got a pretty thick accent and his exam questions sometimes have unusual wording that can slip you up. However, give it a week and you should be able to understand him fine. If you actually go and talk to him during office hours when he's not talking to a class of 100, you'll find that he's very nice and very helpful.

Dr. Karimi is a really nice guy. Can be a little confusing at times, but very willing to go over things. Loved to hear him laugh! Watch out though, he uses graders, and I guess doesn't double check them. Multiple instances where my papers and others were graded differently. Does not curve!

Dr. Karimi is a hard professor and if you are not very math oriented I would stay away. I thought he was great. He is a nice guy and fair. He curves all his tests because they are tough, I got a 96% on the last one.

Avoid him if you can. He's a little hard to understand, spends class doing examples from the book, can't explain anything well, and can be rude, although he is generally nice. Basically have to teach yourself. Lots of exasperating homework, 3 huge, impossible tests. I failed lecture, but passed lab with another teacher, so what does that tell you?

He offers extra credit at the end of semester if you haven't missed many days, curves tests, and provides formulas. Tests are pretty tough, but I would take him again.

Dr.Karimi has to have been the worst professor I have ever taken. He does not explain subjects clearly and you are forced to teach yourself A third of my class was in tutoring and the other third was failing. His test are impossible and he does not do reviews, he is a little better in lab but his grader is rediculus. AVOID KARIMI IF YOU CAN!!!!!!

98.9% of what I learned in Physics this semester, I taught myself. The whole class period was him just writing the example problems from the text on the board. Also the homework is very time consuming and it only contributes to 15% of the grade. There is no extra credit and very little curving. Avoid taking him if possible.

I hated this class. You'll end up having to teach yourself half of it. He never explains anything and seems to hate the students. He won't answer any questions and won't talk to you in his office. Don't take a class by him if you can help it!!

I took Physics in high school and I felt like I would be pretty well prepared for this class. I was wrong. 50% of your grade lies on two exams and a comprehensive final which is 35% I'm not sure how he does his grading because it has changed every week. Wouldn't take him if you have any other options.

Ugh. I really didn't feel like I learned too much from Dr. Karimi. Don't really understand how someone can teach just by reading out of the book. I spent LARGE amounts of time trying to teach myself. On the plus side, he is always willing to help if its needed.
