Potter is a real great guy, and his class is really easy if you don't miss more then 3 classes or you won't get an A. He also always gives you a study guid before every test (which there are only two, so attendance is where most of your grade comes from) and he never asks questions outside the study guide. What can i say professor Potter is a treasure, grades on a 4.0 grading scale consisting of 4 assignments. His lectures are amazing and tries to make them more engaging and entertaining by telling stories. Reading is not too important as he covers most of the chapter in lectures. He really cares about his students and will know you by name

His lectures relate heavily to the text, so it's important to have it with you. He provides clear instructions on how to do assignments. Really cool old man! He's really nice and really knows his sociology! His puzzle/ sociocryptology/wordsearch workbook is very helpful for studying definitions, as he doesn't really care which version of the textbook you get. Goes over notes very well, gives study guides for midterm/final. Only one presentation and it's very easy/short. Great prof!

He was a clear professor in terms of what a student needs to do to pass. His lectures generally aren't boring and he really knows the material and is able to answer any question you ask him. Everything he says comes from the textbook so if you study well from books, you will be fine. If not, just pay attention to lectures and study.

Took both soc 1 and 2. If you're coming out of high school I would definetely recommend. Really down to earth and he's one of those people who truly have a good heart. I'm sure it has to do with being a sociologist, which is awesome imo. Real easy to get an A if you just go to class and listen, and besides the subject is quite interesting.
