Great, great, great professor. Learned more in his class in one quarter than other classes combined for the year. Always willing to help. Prepares you the best he can. Tests and quiz's are challenging but if you study and work hard you'll do fine.

just voted osu-m's top faculty! marc's a great teacher, he expects a lot out of you and makes you work hard but he goes over everything until it is crystal clear to everybody. it is a difficult course but if you pay attention, marc is very helpful and youll do fine. highly recommended, awesome teacher! i would take more classes with him!

I thought Marc Smith was an excellent teacher. He was open to questions and pushed the students to learn. He was very clear with his explanations and emphasized key points. The only reason anyone would say he's a bad teacher is because they thought the class was too hard and didn't put in the required effort to succeed in the course.
