I think he's a very smart person, and of course he knows the material very well. I think the class expectations are very fair. The only problem is that he goes way too fast. He pauses for questions, but if you are lost just forget it. He won't take the time to go back over very much. He also was not helpful when approached during office hours.

Will take the time out of his schedule to help you. He is a extremely smart and knows the subjects well. The homework load was not bad at all. He is one of the few professors who is passionate about teaching and it shows.

However, if you are one that needs questions answered and has to have him repeat himself more than once, then you'll find yourself encountering the most condescending man on the planet. He is a rude and disrespectful man. I don't recommend taking him.

If you've ever seen Two and a Half Men, than you'll realize Alan is teaching the course. Anyways he's a great professor and keeps a class interesting with humor. He provides good examples and if you actually try you'll get an A. He does give a decent amount of homework, but if you focus you'll be fine.

VERY CONFUSING!!! I am not a Math person to begin with but he made it much worse. I have had better Math teachers and gotten better grades. Goes way too fast in explaining things and have left class cross-eyed many times. Gets annoyed if you ask simple questions and responds "keep up". Not very helpful out of class either. Never is in his office.

He is the best math professor I have ever had! He is very clear on what he teaches &is always willing to help.In addition, his tests are on exactly what he taught in class so there are no surprises. His homework is online and follows the book so it is easy to figure out the answers. Overall, a wonderful math professor with a passion for statistics.

He is very helpful, and encourages questions. You must go to class, but that should be a no brainer for a math class. Should do homework, he offers extra credit for an attempt. Drops lowest quiz score. He also takes any questions about the homework in the beginning of class, and will go over any if you are confused on them. Highly recommended!

TRIG His notes are easy to follow and tests are on material covered-no surprises. Not too much homework. I go to every class and do the homework occasionally and have a very high A. I don't need to study at all or do extra problems because his lectures are so clear. He is a great teacher.

Not seeing how he got a "hot" rating... He's so very pasty! Anyways, Do your homework and turn it in on time (even though he rarely stresses it) if you want to pass. Aside from that he's pretty good.
