People make this class to be way harder than what it was! The 8 week class was a lot of workload at once, but getting done halfway through the semester was nice! She puts everything on blackboard ahead of time, so get ahead while you have time, it is sooo worth it! Exams are tough, but she is there if you need help, just have to ask.

First off, bring your earplugs. Mackey is really passionate about what she teaches, but it's not the most interesting material. Be sure to read Friday Night Lights because the quizzes are based on the reading. She will even try to trick you with some answers, so it is crucial to read carefully.

She's such a silly person, but is really easy to talk to and highly organized. Is very nice and understanding and tries to connect with her students. Sometimes she didn't explain assignments and expected us to just know, but other than that she's fun and easy. Her laugh definitely scares you though because it booms in the room. :P

Let's face it, she is insane but she is a good teacher and loves the subject as well as her students. Do what she tells you to and don't wait till the last minute with assignments and you shouldn't have any trouble.

Only a 3 week course but a lot of reading and writing you must find time for. You'll need your books for the final exam and everytime you go to class. Just studying the powerpoints won't cut it. She is very easy to get along with and very knowledgeable about the subject. You'll enjoy this class it's challanging

It's a rough weekend class. It's only 3 weeks, so that helps. Usually on Saturday, you won't be there past 1 p.m. Read Friday Night Lights, you can get by not doing it, but you will STRUGGLE if you don't know what's going on in the book. Be involved with discussions. Gives random extra credit. Fun class, just the structure of the class is brutal.

I felt that this teacher gave LG scenarios that were unclear at times and then denied doing so. She would not answer questions during the class I had with her. I understand that we are all human and make mistakes but correct them when necessary. Shes a nice person but when it comes to her class, its a waste of time and money. Take it somewhere else

she's like a drill sergeant at times, but that's how i retained all of my knowledge of lifeguarding - and that's why i got the job. do well in this class, and you're sure to get hired over someone else.
