Professor Turner was amazing. Although I am not a History major and do not intend to be, Professor Turner definitely caught my attention through his lectures and revealed surprising information about our beloved state's history. He is a very strict grader, participation is mandatory in order to pass, and offers extra credit assignments.

His grading system ran by few things overall - Tests, Document Analyses, Discussion Boards, Common Assignment, and a Book Test. If you're good at absorbing through reading, it'll be an easy class because all the test questions are directly taken from there. He's straightforward with all the due dates, and gives reasonable time to complete.

Professor Turner is by far the best professor I've had. He is very respectful, straightforward, and makes his lectures very interesting. You get 4 exams, and then a final exam. The exams are based off reading and lectures. He gives you reviews that extremely helpful for the upcoming exams. He helps you learn to the best of your ability.

I took his online 5-wk mini, and I do not regret one bit. He gives you a great course calendar with all the assignment on it. It is not too tough on grading, but you need to make sure that you stick to his rubric. 14 chapter test, 4 discussion boards, 4 document analysis, and one essay. You have to spend sometime reading, but he's best at San Jac!

I took Turner's ol class after being out of college after 2 years. Comments on her that aren't in the red are quite accurate. YOU WILL READ. TBk was not boring. Also,in the middle of the Ol class I had an emergency happen and he was understanding about it and gave me a few extra days to recover. If you try,you will pass. He is a fairly easy grader

He will not make ANYTHING else available if you don't do the assignment he wants you to finish first. So if you're having trouble on something and want to move on instead, thats not an option. Also, just when you think you only have 3 things due, according to your gradebook, 3 things will magically appear once you finish an assignment.

If you are looking for an easy "A" that you don't have to work to get, don't take his Texas History class. If you keep up and read, read, read and do the study questions, you can do well on his tests. There are two essay assignments and four discussions and four document analysis. Prof. Turner answered emails in a timely manner and was helpful.

If you're gonna take his TX HIST online class, there is 1 test every week. Some Discussion Boards and Document Analysis. Be prepared to read. You need 3 books for this class. To pass, just do the reviews, you can find the review answers on google and on his power points. If you're lazy and like an easy class, do not take him then. HARD GRADER!!

He was an amazing Professor. He is so much better in person than online, for no other reason than his lectures. If you want to really grasp what you are learning then his lectures will be invaluable to you! You must be ready to read too! He lectures from the book BUT you still have to read and you have to show up! He is a great Professor!

Professor Turner isn't too bad, but be ready to work. I took his online Texas History class, I had an assignment or 2 do every week. you will have 2 easy writing assignments essay format. Books are mandatory. What I didn't like about him was that he took forever to post certain grades and he wouldn't email me back or took forever to do so.

Tests are pretty in-depth plus essay so if you don't know the material very well theres no way you'll pass. Bad teaching style compared to other hist professors. He rambles on and on, you have to catch the important key facts as he doesn't write it down on the board for you (he does this on purpose). Notes were all over the place, no hwork though.

TEXAS HISTORY: Pros: 1. Very enthusiastic and makes you interested. 2. Offers extra credit often. 3. If you have perfect attendance, you don't need the book. 4. Posts class power-points on BB. Cons: 1. Expect an essay with every test. 2. Late at posting grades. 3. Skipping class is not a good idea. 4. Expect a book review. 5. Long lectures.

First off, I really enjoyed his class. He's a strict teacher when it comes to absences as a college teacher should be if you need notes they're there. AMAZING lectures. Really prepared to give good knowledge and interesting! Helpful as long as you ask questions but really everything on his powerpoints is all you need. Take notes and listen(:

I took this teacher online, & it was one of the very first college classes I took. The syllabus was very clear, & the assignments were really easy. We had about 2 weeks of reading certain chapters from the book, & then a quiz based on the chapters. The final exam was an essay based on another book, which was short & easy to read. Easy class.

Read read read! He only gives like 5 test plus document analysis, and discussions. Sometimes they are difficult sometimes they aren't. He gives great feedback to your work as well. Also his test are only 90 minutes for 50 questions so make sure you study & don't rush through your textbook while taking the test you wont have the time!
