I am the first from her Spring class to give a rating(: Marcy is a person like no other. She is very passionate for what she does and her kindness makes going to class enjoyable. Do not assume this class is easy, it's fairly fast and has 5 papers. If you work hard you'll be rewarded. Thank her for all she does because she really does care for you

Marcy cares about her students and it shows with interesting science based topics that give you the freedom to write on something you are passionate about. Do the readings and show up for quizzes. She is always willing to read a draft beforehand and gives great feedback. Fun field trips. 3 hours is a long class period but she is totally worth it!!

Comment:

Marcy is an amazing professor. She truly wants all her students to get As. However, getting an A is not possible if you do not do the readings, quizzes, and papers. Honors students have to write 500+ words for each paper. The paper topics are very interesting, if you love science, and fun to write about. Not to mention you go on great field trips!

Comment:

Expect a lot of homework and some tough papers! However, Marcy definitely prepares you for them, including fun field trips to local places! Extra credit is almost always available, and you can tell she wants you to succeed. Papers are clear about what she wants, you just have to work hard and you'll pass.

Marcy is an incredible English teacher. This class consisted of quizzes once a week, which were open notes as long as you follow her format, interesting essay topics that can be approached from all aspects --just clear it with her!, and occasional class trips! Make sure to go whale watching!!

SHE'S A SAINT!!! The nicest person on this planet. I'm not over exaggerating. A lot of work but it is not too bad. She takes us on field trips, makes lectures interesting and provides with lots of FOOD. What else do you need?

Marcy is an incredibly passionate and inspiring teacher! My all time favorite teacher at Cabrillo College. The work isn't a cakewalk but I feel like I can handle any essay assignment in my classes now. Great class that goes far beyond the scope of English. Take this class!

Marcy's basicly the coolest kindest person ever. Definitely my favorite teacher at Cabrillo. She is very passionate about what she teaches - i.e. cognition in whales and dolphins. She's a super badass. She'll make you work. But its good work!

Take this class! Marcy is one of the best English teacher i have ever had. She gives you the most clear and detailed syllabus that it will hardly be necessary to lose track of assignments as well as your grades. We go on field trips VERY often and we are usually always snacking! I looked forward to this class every week. lenient grader also!!

Intro to biological sciences, not your ordinary reading fiction and writing 6,000 words class. Alancraig makes you work for it. Extremely interesting and supportive class, lots of participation and energy needed, she demands your full attention during the semester.

Marcy, is the best english teacher I have had. She made the class very fun and had the whole semester planned out in a "reader" that she creates and than has printed ($20). She is super helpful and wants everyone to pass. I went on at least 8 feild trips the 2 semester I had her. She is always open for office hours and has a clear rubrick!

Marcy is wonderful! Her class was interactive, fun and refreshing. It brought all the students together as a community. To fill the three hour class time we took field trips to the beach, museums and whale watching. The material was not too hard and Marcy is kind and extremely helpful! What a wonderful class. I wish all my classes were like this!
