Although quirky and entertaining, there was no teaching that actually occurred. The lectures and test were directly out of the text, without any further explanation or examples. She lacked the ability to answer questions and was of no assistance regarding assignment work. She could also be incredibly hostile and unapproachable.

I thought Marcy was awesome! She is awesome, relates to you on your own level, and doesnt make you feel nervous to be in front of the class. 9:30 in the morning performance isn't anything many people want to do, but I never had a hard time going to class. She is very clear on what she expects and shes HILARIOUS!! I wish she were staying at USF!

Don't buy the book. The test questions (1/2 multiple choice, 1/2 short answer) were taken exactly from "example" test questions on blackboard. "Random" attendance was taken a few times for participation grade. She engaged me in every lecture and made all of the material interesting and easy to understand. Go to class! You will enjoy it!

she must play duck duck goose when it comes to grades because i got a's on all my performances but a B as my final grade. so i'd have to say she's a moron. my fault for not bugging her to change it just make sure she doesn't screw you over as well. but the class is kinda fun.

Show up 4 class! The extra points (and sometimes xtra credit) helps in the end. She is very funny though lecture gets boring. Memorize the notes online (example test q's) cuz most of the test is that. If I had more time, I would have got an A. My fault. Material is interesting too, I enjoyed going 2 class. I barely used the book cuz i used online.

I had Marcy at SIU and she was awesome! Unlike some professors, her intelligence isn't intimidating; she never made us feel stupid. She created an environment where we could take performance risks & taught us to grow from criticism. I am a better scholar and performer because of her guidance.

I had Marcy for my popular forms of public comm class. She was definetely not the most conventional prof... but she really knows how to engage a class and to leave you with a sense of having learned something, and had fun doing it!

Marcy is an awesome teacher. In this class, she does not give exams, the class is mainly composed of discussions. We have a few papers to write and some articles to read. She is one of my favorite teachers at USF.
