Even if you do the reading she expects you to write notes about said reading. If that isnt how you do things she will try to kick you out of the class room. Worst shes a hypocrite, she expects people to change to her views but when I told her that she made students uncomfortable to talk in class discussion she said Im never going to change.

Then gets angry because they do not know the answer. Do not take her Hist (347 )Race & Sports Class if you are any race other than black or white - then you will not be represented in her class.

History was going to be my minor before I realized that meant I may have to take more classes with her. She is narrow minded, vain, and openly cruel to students. Plays favorites just as openly, and is as close to useless as an educator can be when one has questions. She's also quite the drama queen, and it's pretty irritating.

Dr. Sacks is one of the all time worst teachers I have ever had. Not because I did not try in her class, but because she holds things against students. Her ego is very large and she believes that her point of view is the only one that matters. I tried and tried in her class, but no matter how hard you try, she predetermines your grade.

She is extremely biased, she attempts to change your opinions through her own views and is very, very "stuck up" and set in her own ways. She is unforgiving and not understanding at all, and impossible to please, negotiate with, or relate to. The most unpleasant experience (high school or college) Ive ever had with a teacher. DONT TAKE HER CLASSES

Very bias professor. Marcy is a preacher of her own ideas and not a teacher of the intended course material. She is also very opposed to any ideas that conflit with her ideologies. God help you if she doesn't have her coffie and talk to you about it for at least 5 min a day. Conclusively, Marcy Sacks deapens racial divides by via her own ideologies

Do not take her classes. She is biased and will not accept others ideas or opinions. She always thinks that what she says is right and has crazy ideas because she just talks about drinking her coffee and running 100 miles. She knows a lot but is too biased to talk about race and ethnicity. Plays favorites. Stay away from her classes.

Over the semester I went back and forth on my feelings about her. While I respect her for how much she cares about her students and subject, she does not accept your opinions if they don't match hers. She also bragged about her family A LOT which got old after a while. Overall she was passionate but was very unapproachable & often mean.

Sacks is definitely tough, but you will learn in her classes! One of my favorite profs. She is very opinionated and will challenge students' opinions. This is to get students to think critically. Her exams are fairly easy but her papers are hard. She is also a hard grader when it comes to papers so be thoughtful and make good arguments. Excellent!

I am taking her Afro-American class currently and I have never been so disappointed in a professor at Albion. Sacks doesn't take disagreeing opinions easily. Also she thinks highly of herself, you will hear a lot about how much coffee she drank, how many miles she ran, and how her husband is not even a citizen. Overall, do not take her classes.

I took her 131 class and 333. Although she is a good professor and knows her stuff, she definately plays favorites, if she has decided she doesn't like you, you're pretty much screwed. Also very opinionated, don't disagree with her in class. She'll slaughter you.

I took Sports in American Culture with Dr. Sacks a few years ago. I came in with an open mind since I was a freshman but there were many days that I had a hard time listening to her denounce an ideas or thoughts that classmates had that she did not share. I feel that although she is very intelligent, she is over-opinionated.

Professor Sacks is brilliant. I learned more in her class than all my previous college classes (at Albion and another big school) and in all years growing up. She is very insightful, just hard. She says things like they are and welcomes your opinion. Just be prepared 2 back up your statements. Also, READ 4 her class or don't bother coming.
