Worst class so far, this class has the potential to be way more interesting than she makes it. She is not flexible with students. There is a ridiculous amount of uninteresting reading, and one essay question on the test.

Her lecture material is pretty easy to understand and topics are often interesting, but only about 10% of test material comes from lecture. I scored the highest in the class on 2 out of the three tests and still only had an 85 average. She is horribly ineffective, not a very good speaker, and I would not reccommend taking her class.

Dr. Blackman is a very pleasant and knowledgable instructor. Her classes are informative, and have lots of eye candy, including pictures, videos, and fun projects. She is very warm, and you'll feel like your mother's mother's sister is teaching you. (stupid anthropology joke, sorry)

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS!!!! Lectures were pointless-didn't have a clue what she was talking about EVER. The amount of reading that was expected was ridiculous and not manageable at all...TESTS WERE HORRIBLE-material taught in the class was not even on the test- Probably the worst class ive ever had!

Oh my god what the hell is up with the 4000000000 pages of reading THAT AREN'T TESTED ON?? It's totally hit-and-miss if what you read is on the exam. Study guides are all in question form so you have to go track down the answers yourself, huge pain. write a 10 page paper on ONE food? geez...
