Start studyin 1st day class will help u out, if u kno all answers on colored sheets u will do fine on test/quiz however..make sure u explain ur answers w/ EXAMPLES she doesnt want u to jus memorize a chart.. she wants u to know it.. n understand it..Its a hard class but Lidback loves this topic n knows her stuff! u need to be hardworking!

-Read book= must! review everything all handouts! movie handouts too.. if u can answer all the questions ur good. read over chap about topic. she does skip around in book but it makes sense once you think about it.. never be late and she will like you dont get on her bad side. take this course seriously. study a week before hand for tests/quizes

Lidback doesn't teach an easy class, but if you have an interest in geology and do the work you'll be fine. She doesn't give an easy A, so if you're looking for easy take someone else's class. If you want to learn something and work for it? Lidback is for you.

I have taken many college courses and Lidback was easily the worst teacher I have ever had. She is very unclear and rushes the material so she can get through the semester. She expects everyone to know everything and is a miserable person.

Dr. Lidback may have seemed brisk at times but only because she took her job seriously. And she is right. As adults, we all have to take responsibility for our own learning. MANY field trips, including place she did her dissertation on!! If fact she loved our class so much that she brought in coffee cake and punch for us on the last day. She loved

She is the most cold hearted old lady I've ever met that should have stopped teaching at least 20 years ago. Don't ask questions cause she won't answer them right. She jumps around like crazy and forgets where she is. Do not take a class with her unless you want to teach yourself and be in a bad mood when class is over.

Dr. Lidback is brilliant. She seems gruff and does pick on people, but she really cares if you learn the material. She spent extra time before the final teaching us what would be on the final and allowing us access to her lab materials. That extra effort is what got me an A in the class. Dr. Lidback wants to see you try.

Field trips were cancelled one time after another, somtimes she would not show up at all and not tell her secretary, so we would all just sit there then leave. MEAN LADY! I am not sure why she is so demeaning and ruthless in her grading and attitude. I simply can't say how mean this woman is, I am disaponted in my school for keeping her here.

FieldTrips? What field trips? Big talk, no action. Loves to belittle wrong answers. But give her a correct one, she'll say, "yeah something like that." I use a wheelchair, she would place obstacles in my just before the end of class. I had to get student services involved. Spring '06 Oh yeah, check the end of the text, mine was defective.

Very hard teacher. Do not take her if you want an easy grade. A must to take if you want to have a good bakcgroun in science. Made my daughter take her last year. If you want to work like a dog, take her. You will leave the class with a good backgroun.

Yes, she's difficult, and has little patience for questions. However, she is a FAIR teacher, and expects you to read the material she hands out, to study, and to ask good questions. Not an easy A by any means, but she is hardly the curmudgeon as described here. She even makes jokes once in awhile that can surprise you. I learned a lot from her.

Lidback is the worst professor I have had at FSC. She was completely unwilling to offer me any help, and was consistently rude and extremely unprofessional in the classroom. She's very unclear, and replays videos and regives lectures often. She tests you on material she doesn't cover. Really just a terrible terrible professor.

Lidback is extremely knowledgable subject but terrible orgnizational skills. She jumped around in lectures and did not return quizzes,tests on time. She did not collect a project that we spent a month on. We are just taking this class to fill the science quota, we are not scientists, give us a break.

FSC should be ashamed to keep Lidback on the faculty. She's rudeand insulting, barks at students and treats them in such a demeaning way. She clearly dislikes humans. She should crawl into a cave w/ her beloved rocks and retire NOW. The WORST CLASS I ever took.Learned what I would never do as a teacher. AVOID THIS NEGATIVE PEOPLE-HATER!!!!!
