Learned a great deal about proper journalism that I use to this day because of her. Yes, she set high expectations when you did assignments for her and your grade was indicative of the work you put forth. If you seek a career in journalism and want someone to push you in the right direction, you'll be better off for having Margaret show you the way

Extremely demanding class. You're expected to know how to properly write a news story without being taught how. She rips apart your stories in front of the entire class, it's embarrassing. Don't take unless you have a light workload in the rest of your classes, and are very serious about newspaper being your career after graduation.

Margaret doesn't expect too much. Yes, she was very unapproachable (and scary) at first - I was pretty sure she hated me. But it doesn't take much to impress/please her, and she's always willing to work with her students!!

Behind her ice queen appearance, she is actually a very kind woman, you just have to get to know her. She grades hard for articles (newspaper), but in the end, you get an A or B. The final is going out to eat as well, and THEY pay for it!

For comm majors it will probably be the hardest class you will have to take especially if youre focus isn't journalism. She is really picky on the news stories but does grade fair in the end. If you do the work on time you'll be fine. Going to the critique classes was the worst part. Overall you should get a decent grade but its alot of hard work

First things first.. I like Margaret. She means well. However, her class expectations are rediculous. She acts like her class is the only thing you have going on in your life. With that said, her grading for the most part is reasonable, but man scale down the workload. Some of us do have other classes besides yours.

I had her last year and she taught me so much and I have a really good basis to begin with. Shes wonderful. Work hard and do your work, shes just critical because she wants you to do well. Shes always willing to help you out too.

Margaret definately means well.. This class isn't a cakewalk by any means. In fact, if you're going to take it, I'd reccommend taking it while loaded with easier classes because you will work your ass off in the class. That being said, she's fair and works with you to get better.

I really enjoyed Moses, even though I don't think she like me very much. She expects you to be responsible and have you work done on time, just like the real world. Doesn't grade awfully hard. If you do the work you should easily pass.
