DO NOT TAKE HER! When she grades your test she takes of lots of points for a little mistake, not even half credit. I got a B in the class and I'm excellent in math. I tried so hard and her grading is ridiculous. She tries to rush and doesn't explain the material very well.

Run away as fast as you can! She is horrible! she goes way too fast.The test are not even based on what we learned.Everyone around me is failing!Cant really talk to her because shes easily offended.Cant ask for help without her sassing you.She expects you to memorize a ton of formulas in a couple weeks. No study guide! >=( No extra credit/curve.

Difficult in the beginning but once u start understanding more and getting the hang of the problems it's easier. Must do homework every night so u don't get behind. WONDERFUL WONDERFUL TEACHER!! EVERYTHING IS EASY TO UNDERSTAND IF YOU PAY ATTENTION AND KEEP UP. ATTEND CLASS EVERY MEETING(I MESSED UP HERE AND MISSED 4 DAYS THE WHOLE SEMESTER AND IT COSTED ME MY A.. BUT MY B STILL DID ME JUST FINE). LEARNED ALOT. Profefssor Murphy puts the fun back in Math!! Her teaching techniques are very impressive. Her knowledge of Math makes her very apporachable and she is quite willing to answer any crazy questions a student may have. I highly recommend Professor Murphy for whatever course that she may be teaching for the upcoming semesters.

Really good instructor. I took her for trig about a yr ago and she is VERY helpful & her lectures are excellent. With the book & her notes she makes the class moderately easy. Also, if you need extra help go to her during her office hrs. You'll have to work for ur A but you will learn a lot. As long as you do hw & ask Q's & you'll b alright.
