I'm just writing this to let people know that Prof. Brown had passed away in May 2018. She was a wonderful professor with a matching personality and marvelous chairwoman of the department. Sincere condolences to the family, as she will truly be missed.

Brown is a great professor. Course is structured around class discussions and short papers, and it got to be quite fun at times. She takes the time to respond to every student and really seems to care about everyone. Offers a wealth of information in each topic area for those who find a niche. Very sweet woman, really glad I took her course.

Really interesting class. Tests are so easy and online discussions are all about opinions pretty much. The lectures would start to get boring at the end because she would give out a study guide so you dont even have to take notes. One of the nicest professors I have ever had though.

This woman is a gem, it's no wonder why she got promoted to chairwoman of the EGL dept! She's so sweet and very lenient. Easy grader. Class can be interesting - 3 papers/powerpoints, 3-part research paper, web page and personal essay. Gives you plenty time to work on things in class. Very free flowing class - kinda like independent study.

She doesn't teach, no lesson plans, boring powerpoints-which is sad, since we are required to do presntions. She kinda of talks about the same thing or pointless viral videos or trends, then lets you work indenpendntly. The work piles up if you don't realize she is just as lost as you are at times. However, this is my experince. you may love her.

I had her for mythology. Memorize her powerpoints, and if you screw up on the report you're a dummy, cause it's easy. Trust me, attendance probably is only necessary for the review, and test day. Seriously Doc Brown's class is mad boring, but I actually know mytholgy now...not!

Her classical mythology lecture is so boring. She's very passionate about what the subject. Her face lights up when talking about myths which is endearing but if your not interested at all, your going to want to drop it. Tests are really easy. same format every test. All the notes are online. One paper. Easy. No textbook use at all!

She is a really good teacher and you can tell she really likes what shes doing. Everything can be found on the ANGEL website. She is also really helpful outside the classroom like if you need help getting into another class. She is totally worth taking and the class is actually interesting and not hard at all. NOTHING TO FEAR AT ALL!! :)

Dr. Brown is excellent. She is not only very knowledgeable and helpful, she is so flexible and accommodating. She wants to see everyone do well in her classes. No tests, just 3 short papers and presentations, and one research project broken into 3 parts. You can resubmit for a better grade too. I highly recommend taking her class.

Dr. Brown is really nice and helpful and really knows her stuff. The class is pretty easy and everything you need can be found on blackboard... She is a really easy grader, and you'll definitely end up with a new perspective of Greek mythology and current works that follow mythology patterns. Really interesting. Definitely worth it.
