Comment:
Geo105 almost made me switch my major to Geology, which says something about prof. Rusmore and her enthusiasm. Her lectures were amazing, she includes a fair amount of personal anecdotes that make the material very interesting. Very rare to have homework, but it is a must do. If you are engaged in the material, the class won't be a problem.

So impressed with herself, but rarely knows what she is talking about. Lectures are rambling, content-free tales about her, not geology, and she clearly decides whether she "likes" you or not and treats you accordingly. Desperate to be liked, which is sad. I had no problem with the class - it is dope easy, but it is also dope useless. Avoid.

I didn't like this class at all. The material and exams were fine, but I found it exhausting keeping up with Rusmore's moods. She cares too much about how students think about her. I hope I won't have to take another class from her.

Such an inspirational and passionate rock lover (: Professor Rusmore has accomplished so much in her life, that it's really incredible to hear her speak of her adventures. As a professor she does a great job of making herself available and giving you all the resources you need to succeed. Difficult class, but with hard work and studying, doable.

You can tell from her experience that she's really into geology. Lectures are kinda boring but she gives out clearly what we need to know. Strong and tough. One of the most amazing woman in OXY. LOVE HER

Comes off as a little intimidating but is actually the nicest person you could ever meet. She is blunt, but this is a good thing, you always know what to do and where you stand with her. Excellent professor with exceptional levels of patience and understanding. She genuinely cares about her students and will do anything in her power to help them.

Initially she might not seem incredibly approachable, but I grew to really respect the quality of her person and her desire to spread her love of Geology. She is very passionate. It seems that students either love or hate her.. I thought she was awesome though

I really thought I liked geology when I started college. Rusmore only teaches the parts that are boring (who cares exactly how mountains form), meaningless (how can plate teconics help my career), dishonest (she claims that geologist know what future climate will be - gee, I wish I knew the future, too). Control freak, unfair grader, creepy.

Smart, but boring lecturer as she tries too hard to be liked. Control freak, on the unstable side, holds grudges, not completely fair. I learned a lot, but in spite, not because, of her. I would not major in geo is she is what I would become.

although i absolutly HATED the class material--- she was by FAR the best teacher in the california environment semester--- at least for geology---- her lectures were clear and simple (considering that the material was difficult to master) always available for extra help--- she was always prepared, on time, and eager to teach

Really strict, kinda harsh, seems to get exasperated if you don't get it after one sitting. Smart, but not too great at "dumbing it down" for the students.
