This is my 3rd class with her. She is extremely patient, and doesn't grade hard on papers because she wants you to get your ideas across and not worry about grammar mistakes. Very helpful and also very encouraging, and if you speak up every once in a while, your participation is good. I'd take her for every Spanish class if I could. No textbook,

I have taken her for FOUR classes (3 in spanish lit and 1 in womens studies) and each one was interesting and easy just as long as you go to class and take notes. She analyzes themes and will blow your mind! Genuinely nice and cares about students - great woman, great professor!!

I took Women Writers with her. I almost got out of the class cuz of how distracting her speech was. She has a lisp and always pauses and repeats herself...Nonethless this course is overall interesting. Good readings although lecture can be very repetitive. Easy to get a good grade as long as u participate and do well on ur short essays.

Good Professor. I did learn a lot from the class, and she is an effective teacher. Your papers don't have to be more than 3-4 pages to get a good grade on them. All the material on the exam was covered in class, so you should plan on attending each class and taking lots of notes. Overall, good Professor and class and it definitely boosted my gpa.

She speaks with a Castillian lisp and stutters which is very annoying to have to listen to, however she is very intelligent and helps the class analyze the readings. If you just come to class, do the readings, and take notes you will do fine.

I have never in my life met a teacher who was more unwilling to help a student.When asked for help with an essay she said it's not my job and when asked a question she doesn't answer it.She's incredibly demanding and her tests are impossible!
