she is the best of the best english teacher ever. she is really the one that extremely helpful, and grades you based on how much you improve. she does not have grading scale. if you work hard, and come to class everyday, and prove that too her, you'll definately end up wit an "A"

MA is really interesting. We had a total of 3 papers dat we worked on 4 weeks, but there was no reason not 2 do good on them. U do different copies of them so she can chek n correct them if needed. sumX she really doesnt answer your questions on works cited because she wants you to find n learn it for urself. All n all I enjoyed da class!! TAKE HER

My favorite teacher at UTM. Because of her I changed my major to be an English teacher. She gives you freedom in your writing and doesn't grade based on what she thinks your papers should say. She grades on your effort and improvement. She made me enjoy writing.

Wonderful teacher! My favorite teacher of all time. She is the reason I decided to be an English teacher. She loves what she does, and creates a love for it in her students. She is not an "easy A", but she does grade on improvement and effort instead of great writing ability.

This prof. is not someone to take if you are on a sports team at Martin, and you have to miss class for a game. I made it to class almost everytime I didnt have a sport event, She gave me a D. I will say I learned very much from her. She is a good teacher, but she is unfair. Watch out being on her good side, because she has her favorites!

Prof. M. Alschwede was in fact rude then as well. She seemed to be in competition with her own students and was condescending. I hope that she has improved, but she may not have. In a personal setting she was a nice person, but she has a definite opinion about everything. If you are looking for easy, this is not the professor for you. She goes out of her way to have opinions about you, what you look like, and what you are about to become. Good luck.

She is the best English teacher I have ever had. The course material was very interesting. I loved going to class because she made every class interesting. She didn't give any tests. If you do bad on tests but good on homework she is the one you need to take.

She's rude. If you kiss her hiney, you'll do fine. She certainly doesn't grade on QUALITY because some of my classmates were barely literate and made as good as I did. However, beware-- she's quite vengeful if you cross her.

She is an excellent professor. She tries to create interest and expects you to do your best. How much you put in to the course will be reflected in your grade. Don't take her if you don't want to work. The effort does yield great results though.
