She really knows what she's talking about. We read some sonnets, a play and a novel and wrote a paper on each one. No tests or anything like that. She knows if you read the books by how good your essay is. If you are an English major, be prepared for her classes. She's great. There's a reason she's Dean of the English Department.

I also had her for 200 and 470. I am not a pet and I make A+ on all writing assignments for all my teachers and I give this professor an A+ because she deserves it. You are not going to get any grade in this class. There is reason she's the Dean of the English department. If you're majoring in English you should be prepared for her class.

Everyone dreads CAPSTONE as if it were an STD or something, but I have to say it is because of this class that I feel better prepared for Graduate Schools. If you can move beyond the stigma, you will do well in her class as long as you seriously bust your butt to get the grade you want. It isn't personal; her job is to prepare you.

She is a horrible, hateful, spiteful, de****able woman, and I would recommend that UTM fire her before they lose any more students. Those she doesn't fail, she runs off in droves because of her poor attitude. The students who gave her a passing grade were most likely "pets," despite any ability to write, analyze lit. etc. She shouldn't be teaching.

The only English professor I know who grades based on personal like or dislike. I pulled a C out of her intro class with A's in 95% of other Englishes because she didn't like me. I certainly dread Capstone with her.

A bit dull, but overall has a good knowledge of subjects taught. If you have problems, you need to approach her. She will help you, but cannot read your mind. Overall, a fair prof. Seems to love theory and grades Capstone much harder than any other class.
