Nice, passionate and very knowledgable about the course content. However, I found her multiple choice questions were vague and came from tiny details in the textbook. SA were fine and fair. I brought my essay in for feedback a week before it was due and while she really liked it i only received an 80 which was disappointing. Overall good prof.

I loved professor Gurevich's class. She's very caring and loves to engage her students. She can be a little quiet so sitting up front helps a lot. As with any PSY class, you have to read the textbook. Her tests are fair, the essay was a little confusing for me. (I was proud of my paper but the T.A didn't like it so..) Best PSY class I've taken!

She is a very nice and understanding prof! More importantly she responds to emails very promptly which I think a few profs lack! I find that she is helpful and very caring! I really appreciated her!

Dr. Gurevich does a fantastic job of exploring research conducted in the area and translating it into situations we encounter daily. Provides practice tests and essay help. She is student friendly and accommodating while altering the course when it best suited everyone. Tests are based on lectures for SA and textbook/article reading for MC.

She a nice, chill professor. Easy marker. An essay and 3 cumulative tests. Attendance is not mandatory, tests are based of the textbook and assigned articles.

Aced her class but it was super boring. Found multiple choice were totally random even though I studied a lot. I don't know what it is about her but I'm not a fan.

Very nice woman, very helpful when you ask for more information. This is my suggestion for essays - to ask questions, she's upfront about what she wants (which leads to good marks!). I found her exams normal - but make sure you study, don't wing it or last-minute it. Participating in class helps to remember the material. She does interactive stuff

Testing is not representative and the course is her random opinions. If you're into the topic, don't take it, just read some books and avoid her "gotcha" test questions and "gospel" interpretation. If you have to take it don't think just copy her own view back (if you can understand it). I learned more about bad university teaching than gender.

She is a really knowledgeable prof and she remembers people's faces so attend lectures, plus I went through this course without the textbook and even then only attending the lectures still earned me a decent mark

I didn't want to be "that guy" but she deserves it. PSY621 should be called "Psychology of HETEROsexuality". LGBT perspectives in her class are "skewed". Along with the other (true) negative accounts posted, she is quite rude to her students and designs the class for your failure. DO. NOT. TAKE. THIS. CLASS with her (especially if you are LGBT)

The person below clearly had an axe to grind, trying to lower the prof's rating by posting twice. If you don't go to lectures and cannot think critically, DONT TAKE IT. The TA marked the exams,I found her to be useless. Prof.Gurevich is amazing and very helpful.

She has a real slant to her thinking, very one dimensional. She seems preoccupied mumbles a lot. Her multiple choice on the exams are designed to fool you. She really lacks clarity. This class has really taken its toll on my interest on the subject. Some people are just not born to teach, you have to work really hard just to get a C in this class.

Makes things more convoluted than necessary. She is very wordy and mumbles on and on. Her multiple choice on the exams are overly worded and tricky. She really lacks clarity. Read the textbook and attend her lectures. You have to do both with this professor. Hard work pays off in her class.

She lost my paper. Did decent on it though but would have been nice to see. Tests had next to nothing to do with what you study or learned in class, or focused on very specific nonsense that you would never think to look at. The course was interesting but not the testing.

Not an easy class, however topic is interesting and she teaches in an engaging manner. Tests are difficult, DO YOUR READINGS IN ADVANCE!! Final essay isn't easy however she does provide help if you're unsure how to tackle it. She's also super funny.

Lectures seemed to drag on. Discussions were pointless most of the time. Never posts slides before class and used a lot of abbreviations which were annoying to study for. Multiple choice questions seem like a toss-up in terms of how well you do. She reveals short answers ahead of time but still difficult to get full marks. Focus on slides and text.

absolutely HATE this prof. she is ridiculous and extremely unfair. her multiple choice questions are literally out of the blue. It seriously had nothing related to the answer unless you critically think and analyze every tiny detail to get a stupid answer. 75% of of the test was based on 3 slides. wtf? can't stress how much i hate her. DO NOT TAKE!

I do not recommend this class, the prerequisite does not prepare you for this class and the level at which it is taught. The tests had some strange questions and the written answers on them are hard. If you're interested in sex-psy maybe take it in the summer as it may be taught by a different prof... otherwise stay way!
