Dr. Freeman is an incredible. She teaches really interesting topics and is able to convey information in a story-telling type of way. Attendance is pretty much mandatory since participation will earn you a better grade, but her lectures are really intriguing and funny--you'll be bummed you missed class. Get to know her- she's super sweet and caring

Participation, Final, book review, and 10-12 paper is all you're graded on. Lectures are interesting and provide background information and familiarity into the topic, but no tests kind of water them down a little. Books to read almost every week. Very nice and hilarious, more than willing to meet with students. Tough but worth it.

You will have daily readings in the textbook and on Blackboard. 20% participation which means being in your seat every day and participation something smart during discussions. She also has Midterm which is the same as writing your first paper and the Final which is based on your second paper. She grades very hard. Good Luck with her!!

Freeman is the best teacher I have had at this school. She's very passionate about what she teaches and makes learning fun. She's hilarious and doesn't give much work. There's two research papers but she's an easy grader. Participation is definitely a big part of your grade but overall a very good class.

Freeman is very helpful, if you don't understand something just ask she has no problem explaining in detail for you. You have readings from the textbook each week but all you have to do is speak during the class to get the partcipation credit. Her lectures are boring, she is a tough grader but overall easy class.

Two papers and a final which are two essays. She talks a lot and you don't have to write down anything she says, but the topic may come up on the final. Oh, she tells you everything for the final 1.5 weeks in advance. Not an easy grader (a 95 is an A), if you participate she'll love you. Buy the books, show up. She takes attendance.

Great teacher. Her notes were simple and all she did was talk, and you had the choice to write everything down or not. Great documentaries. Cool lectures. Great feedback and very willing to help. Buy the books off of Amazon, you'll save money. I recommend, but her workload isn't a walk in the park. Put in the effort and you'll be fine.

She is a history buff, she can keep your attention. She is pretty funny. Assigns a lot of reading homework. Participation is key and her papers are long and hard same with the exams. She is very picky with grading and papers. If you are not into history this might be a hard classprofessor

freeman is a history buff and really knows what she's talking about. however, if you don't read she'll definitely know and take off a bunch of points on quizzes and tests. requires way too much work for just a gen ed. very nice and funny woman, but hard class overall with unfair grading.

Worst professor ever! She is such a tough grader. If you are looking for an easy A do not take this class. There are weekly pop quizzes so if you don't keep up with the readings you will fail. Written essay tests and papers only don't expect an multiple choice exams. I went to her for help and she made me feel like an idiot. Would not recommend.

I LOVE THIS WOMAN. She is an amazing professor. She keeps students engaged, gives specific details that help you remember information and time periods. Three papers (two can be creative), written-based tests, group pop quizzes. This woman is a genius.

I loved the class and she's such a cool and funny teacher. Pop quizzes every week on the textbook chapters but you get to talk during them so usually you can do well. Grades tests and papers very hard. I practically failed but the class was really interesting

Professor Freeman is an amazing professor. Her lectures are very interesting and informative. She gives around 10 pop quizzes and they're usually after you finish a chapter. There are 3 essays that are easy to write, but she grades tough. She will take off points for any missing thinggrammaretc. I recommend her, but do not expect an easy A.

Freeman is a really good professor and she really knows her history, however is an extremely tough grader, and almost an unfair one. She gives pop quizzes, and a few tests and papers, but is very very veryyyyy nit picky with her grading. you can know everything, but if you forget to add one specific thing that she wanted, shell take off points.
