Comment:

No quizzes. HWs are sometimes long. Attend classes and write notes. Exam questions have the same ideas as the one done in the class. Pay attention in the class before the exam day, she will probably till which questions will come.

Comment:

Never gave quizzes even though she said she would. Two-three, sometimes four long homework assignments every week. Did things the TA wouldnt even understand. Didnt explain things very well. Very hard tests, not very good partial credit. Knew people very smarter than me that got worse exam grades than me.

Comment:

She has a very strong accent that is hard to understand. Test turned out to be harder than was thought to be, doesn't give good partial credit. You can literally do a whole problem and mess up a little and still get a 0 to 2 points out of 20 points. Doesn't let you do problems how the book does it even if it is easier than how she explains it.

Take diffeq with tjani!!! Best math professor thus far. Test arent tricky, homework load is normal, really great at teaching. Wants you to do well. 10/10 recommend.

She is a nice lady but that doesn't help her teaching abilities. She is not very good at conveying the main parts of the problems. She will begin examples and not finish them during class. She also will stand in front of the board a lot and block the material. Her solutions to hw are horrible. She doesn't show her work at all.

Comment:

You get weekly take-home quizzes and 4 exams, the final is comprehensive. Her exams are longer than you would expect and if you don't go to class and to drill you may have a hard time. In my case, drill clarified a lot more things than lecture with Tjani. She can be a bit confusing and doesn't have the most organized way of teaching, but she's ok.

She was one of the worst teachers I had ever had. She didn't know how to convey any calculus, let alone calculus 3. She would jump from problem to problem never finishing an example all the way through. Had to teach myself and get a tutor. She was very hard to understand.

I took her for differential equations and she gave us a weekly take-home quiz except for on test week. She wasn't the best teacher(she would mess up on a few examples) but she was friendly and easy to approach. She also reviews more simple topics like basic operations of matrices.

Comment:

Avoid at all costs for Advanced Calculus. Tjani gives vague feedback on homework which she grades harshly. She also lectures pretty much from the book. Class usually consists of Tjani proving theorems from the textbook (which already have proofs provided). She does not do many (if any) example problems showing you how to prove something.

Comment:

Cal 3 with her is fairly difficult. She has homework due quite often and it is online. She doesn't tell you when it is due but will change the website so check it often. Her lectures are that helpful until the later sections when it gets difficult. You must do problems from the book and chapter reviews if you want an A.

She is always happy and willing to help. She seems to encourage questions. She speaks with a Greek accent, however it becomes very easy to understand her after a few days. She shows many examples and goes step-by-step explaining her process. Tests are tough. I would take her again if she was teaching a class I needed.

NEVER EVER TAKE HER!!! She's the worst teacher I've had in my life, her tests are hard nothing like what she does in class. Almost always messes up the examples done in class, will almost never finish them either. Has no grading rubric for her tests so one student might get full credit for one problem while the other gets the whole thing wrong.

Just not the best teacher ever. Her tests are hard and she's ok with the average being a 70 so for anybody that needs this class as a prereq, just remember she's ok with half of you not succeeding.

could be the worst math teacher ever. i had her for calculus 3 which honestly shouldnt have been as bad as it was.Her test was ridiculously hard, the average was like a 50 and she only curved it 10points. do not take her

I do not recommend. She is difficult to understand(not referencing the accent)and writes inconsistent tests. The average on the second test was an 82, and the average on the third test was 53. With only three tests in the class this poses a concern. Her grading changes on a whim, some problems apparently require simplification and others do not.

She is an absolutely awful teacher. She makes many mistakes during lecture, sometimes only correcting them when a student speaks up. She grades harshly and then claims she will reconsider your grade if she made a mistake, but never will. She will belittle you when you ask for a regrade and will refuse. Her accent is understandable, but annoying

She constantly makes mistakes! In lecture, on quizzes, tests, and keys. Only if enough students complain will she adjust the grading. Show every step even if it's just 1+1=2. I lost 18 pts of a 20 pt exam problem because, "I was looking for more steps." If she flubs up your grades, she won't adjust until semester end and only if you're failing.

Comment:

I really enjoyed Diffy this semester. Other people have mentioned her accent which I didn't think was very bad at all... She teaches the material pretty well, though she does make the occasional mistake, but that just keeps you on your toes! The tests are fair, but they are pretty lengthy, so don't walk in with only a few problems under your belt.
