Strongly recommended. Professor Aratari explains concepts well and teaches math in a way that even if you're 'bad at math' you'll become great. Professor Aratari will answer your questions and has a friendly personality.

She's truly a great professor. She has her own Trig book so she knows what she's doing. She gives TONS of extra credit, so take advantage of every opportunity because it can take you up almost an entire letter grade. Give lots of homework but it honestly helps you learn the material. Double check all of your work before turning in your test.

Does not let student go to the bathroom. Very difficult tests and quizzes. Does not strive to help students understand material. Personally I have never recieved anything lower than a B in a math class until taking her class. I would not take any class she teaches again.

I thought Trig was going to be a really hard subject and Mrs Aratari makes it clear and easy to understand. I can't say it is a very interesting class but it is easy to do well if you show up and complete the homework. Her quizzes and tests are just like the homework so it is hard not to do well unless you do not practice.

I had to re take elementary algebra and ended up with Aratari. Thank GOD for her. I am not blessed in math! Homework is "optional" but it's how you really learn the material. There's 1 quiz and a test per chapter. She's funny and very helpful, best math teacher I have ever had. She still teaches a few classes at Auburn Hills! Take her! :)

I thought she was a wonderful teacher. I came to class, did the homework, and paid attention, and I got an A. She offered lots of extra credit, and you can boost your grade up to 5% higher. I wish she hadn't retired, I'm taking Trig now with the book she wrote, it's probably the best math book I've ever used. Really fantastic at what she does!

She keeps me pretty interested. My ADD is TERRIBLE but as long as you stay interactive, ask questions, DO YOUR HOMEWORK, go to study group she can take you from 0 to math hero ;} shes funny & too good for occ but thankfully she has been there for me & I finally GET it. Math is my WORST subject but she made it extremely like-able for me!!

Took her for intermediate algebra. Toughest math teacher I have ever had. I'm a 4.0 student but was seriously scared in her class. It would not have been fair to throw all of this material at us without providing us with an excellent SI. Overall, I learned a lot. I definitely did not feel like I was at a community college.

Best math teacher I've ever had. I sucked at math before this, but now I actually understand it. She's enthusiastic when she teaches and gives pretty fair exams. Do your homework and you'll get an A! Also, she offers extra credit for up to 55 points a semester. Great teacher and person!

Prof Aratari is hilarious and brilliant in her subject. She basically gave you everything you needed to know, said memorize, and if you did, you got a good grade. I've never fallen asleep in class. Before I took her class, I loathed math, and after taking her, I changed my major to math! That's how good a teacher she is. Take her. She's great!

Trigonometry was an extremely hard class. Mrs Aratari is a good teacher, and we did have a study group leader. Tough subject,so I recommend that you attend the study groups. She offers up to 5% extra credit-do it all-it can only help your grade. The E.C. is tough and doesn't really help w/learning the subject, but the extra points are worth it.

I could honestly say that she is the worst teacher I have ever had at occ. She is mean, not helpful at all, and she is ?B? SHE GOES WAY TOO FAST. When you ask her for help or ask questions in class, she tells you to go to her class assistant. VERY VERY POOR TEACHER. AND HER TESTS ARE VERY HARD!
