Comment:

Dr. Farr is a sweet old lady, she loves what she does and she knows alot of info. However, i think that she has possibly taught a little while past her golden years and now is not always as crystal clear as she once was. When she assigns work, it is difficult to undersand exactly what you are supposed to be doing. neither good nor bad, just hmm

A bit scattered, but a good teacher. She is really smart and very understanding. She seems to enjoy students who participate and as long as you are open to her way of teaching, I think you'll like her. She's also really funny.

I must say she is one of the WORST teachers that I have had my entire school career (including middle and high school) She gets an additude over nothing and likes to call you out, thank god she is retiring this summer!!!

Had her for two classes. I would never have intentionaly taken her again, but needed the second class. Has an agenda and doesn't know any background on classic writers like Yeats. In a survey class for Brit lit she skipped several important writers so she could cover "her" writers. would be fine for femminist lit but is terrible a survey teacher.

Nice person. Lots of reading. Very unclear about paper topic. Quiz questions are vague. Talks about sex a lot. Feminist (but what do you expect) take her if you want to laugh, but dont if you dont understand women's literature.

Seriously one of the worst teachers I have ever had. She is extremely vague about the assignments. She has obvious favorites in her class. If you are not one of her favorites she is nothing but rude and talks down to you. She will call you out in class for the most mundane things. DO NOT TAKE HER!

She is sooooo boring. She is kind of out there as well. She does not really make the assignments clear. She tells you that the papers are due one day and then after you have spent all your time working on it, says that it isnt due until next class period. Her class blows.

BORING! Fairly soft spoken, mundane lectures, and can absolutely NOT get around talking about sex! Tough grader. Don't skip class! Favors students. Will call you out in class. Take good notes. Lucky she has tenure. Not a fun and interesting teacher. Take someone else!

Dr. Farr is a very good teacher. She is not easy, but you can get an A in her class if you read the material and put forth some effort in the assignments. She had more patience with our class than I would have had, because some people were often unprepared and just stated (with no apology or excuse offered) they hadn't read it the assignment.

She is hard on grammar.. but YOU are in college and should not be writing like you are still in high school.. if you have this problem, change your major! The class was hard and you have to work to make the A. I get A's on all my papers and I got A's on all her papers too. She is a good prof, just doesn't care for people that are slackers.
