Comment:

My class was online only, and I still felt like she was one of the best professors that I have had. She takes the time to give great feedback on the assignments, and sets clear expectations on what she looks for in her grading. She's very good about responding to questions and incredibly helpful with the assignments as well. 10/10 would take again.

Comment:

Prof. Masters is about average. I'd take her again and would recommend her in lieu of a better option, but she's nothing special. The textbook is mandatory, because even though you could find all of the literary works elsewhere, you have to cite page numbers for everything. All that said, she's not a difficult professor.

Ive taken this class in part of my first wave of classes as a freshman. Ive went through personal problems at home and she has been so helpful and understanding. I could never recommend anyone better for a class. You truly learn a lot within the course and through her.

This class is significantly tougher than English 1210. The essays are no longer personal and require outside sources. Three essays were due the whole semester with them getting progressively longer. Assignments are due almost every day and she is firm about that. She is very helpful and will meet with students in person. Plenty of extra credit.

Provides solid feedback in a timely matter. 3 essays - each with progressively larger/harder requirements. Weekly reading quizzes - due Tuesday, and DQs Wednesday/Friday with 3 replies in 24 hour period. Numerous "lab" projects - you will need to go to a library to complete one of them. Do not fall behind and you'll do fine.

Unless you are majoring in english, do not take her. Her assignments are very time consuming and she isn't always clear as to what she expects. I found it more frustrating than any of my other classes I've taken.

There was quite a bit to do: DQs, Labs, 3 essays, and some EC. As long as you stay on track, you should be fine. She is much harsher on grading in 1220 than she was in 1210. The assignments are fairly easy, and essay topics aren't too hard. She is easy to reach and answers in a timely manner.

This class was actually quite simple. There were four essays due throughout the eight weeks, and the first one was an easy hundred percent if you followed the MLA guidelines. Plenty of extra credit was offered throughout the course. An assignment is due each day, and unfortunately, there is no wiggle room with that. Emails were responded to quickly

Professor Masters offers a nice chunk of extra credit. The majority of her grading comes from 4 papers written where she can be quite stingy with grammar. She will knock off a fair amount of points for poor grammar.

Feedback was very generic and it was really frustrating trying to reach her as she would never give clear responses. Seemed like she didn't even read student emails. There's an assignment due everyday, unlike other online classes where it's due at the end of the week. Lots of work but easy grader on the assignments, but very hard grader on essays

Professor Masters was awesome! This was an online class. Passed this class this a 99%. She gives lots of extra credit. She is always willing to help. There are 4 essays due, min. 3 pages, but she gives you plenty of time to do it. The topics are relatively easy. There are 7 grammar lessons & 10 reading quizzes but they are very easy.

I loved having her as my English professor. She encourages you and when coming up to her with a question, she will definitely help you even for the littlest thing. She is, by far, my favorite teacher at Macomb. She's very nice and very understanding, plus very easy to understand. I highly recommend taking her!

Absolutely phenomenal. She carries the class well, stays on topic, is very encouraging, and she makes you look forward to the next class. She follows the syllabus completely and makes sure we understand the material 100% before we begin to work. Very intelligent and very sweet. Gives extra credit! Fair grader. She is an outstanding professor and the online class was great. Clear grading criteria. Reading assignments, Grammar Quizzes weekly. Essays every other week. Lots of available extra credit. Quick responses and always provides feedback. Would definitely take again. Highly recommend

Mrs. Masters is absolutely amazing. She was very personal and cared about each and every student. She is not a hard grader by any means. If you listen to her directions and do the work you will have no trouble passing. The only problem I had was you have to read your final paper to the class on the last day.

Online 8 week class. not bad. Be prepared to read and write 3 papers. If you do what she ask, you will pass. I'm not the best paper writer and I got a B! She gives great feedback and will help you!
