Material is challenging - not the professor. Thomas sets a very high standard for other instructors. She is funny, approachable, open-minded, and very compassionate towards ALL of her students. You may hate the material at times, but you will never hate that she is teaching it. Best advice? Pre-study each chapter. Seriously, pre-study each chapter!

Dr. Thomas somehow makes Advanced Statistics fun. Yes, the concepts are difficult, but if you hang in there, you will be sad at the end of the semester. She really prepares you for grad school statistics. She is also very accessible because she wants you to succeed in her course.

Dr. Thomas is AWESOME! Statistics is tough stuff especially in the advanced class. Dr. Thomas is a fantastic teacher that really cares about what you learn. I never knew I could get a thrill from an ANOVA until this class. 1 midterm, 1 final and 15 hw assignments. each is 33% of the grade. tests are take home. If u have a grasp on stats u r ok

Amazing teacher. She takes you through some very though material with ease and well. You will trully understand statistics like never before. She also has a great sense of humor. I laugh in the class more than any other. Her class is an absolute MUST take if you're going to grad school.

I had this professor my very first semester here. She was kind, and very helpful. The only thing that sucked about her class was that we would have a quiz on material that wasn't covered yet, so a lot of people didnt know what to study and what not to.
