Though Professor Hall is a kind enough woman who is readily available outside of class, her class itself is hard to thrive in. We must learn the material on our own outside of class, which I found detrimental to my own understanding. We received "mini-lectures" for 30 minutes on occasion, and did practice problems for the majority of the time.

Whats peoples problem with calculating your own grade? She gave us everything we needed, plus she checked it over for me in her office. Why be in science if you dont like playing with numbers?

Difficult class. Hard to get a B never mind an A. The exams dont reflect what we practice, and the practice problems are the only "study guide" we get. Shes a smart person but so hard to follow. She doesnt even calculate our grades. Dont take her class unless you wanna kill your GPA.

Professor Hall expects you to understand the material after she explains it in one slide. She does not calculate your grade, she makes you calculate it yourself without even giving you all the info needed on top of hours of homework. Tests do not reflect on class notes or slides, extremely difficult. Grades lab reports very tough too.

Prof Hall is a really nice lady. There's a lot of homework, but its really helpful in learning the material. Lab reports are graded harshly and tests don't really match what she taught. Overall, when she does lecture on the materials is really helpful, but otherwise there's a lot of practice problems. Labs are fun and interesting.

She's not a bad person but I don't like her as a professor. She switched to a flipped classroom so she doesn't do many lectures, you're expected to teach yourself. She does have office hours, but she'll do one problem and expect you to get it. Get ready to spend a lot of time at a tutor.

Professor Hall is one of the best that Stonehill has to offer. I had her for both Gen Chem II and Biochem and I learned an insane amount of material in a small amount of time. Professor Hall is extremely approachable as long as you desire to succeed. Her courses are extremely challenging, but they are not impossible. You get out what you put in!

This class was by far the hardest class I took this semester. Professor Hall is a really great person and I loved meeting with her outside of class and she asked me to visit her when I was done with the class but her final straight up fried my brain. You have to study so hard for this class get ready

Professor Hall is VERY picky on how she likes her questions answers and problems solved. However, she is very organized and has detailed slides posted ahead of time so lecture is doable. I did very well in the class but studied hardest for it in my sophomore spring. If you feel confused, Hall is always there and appreciates when you come with qs!

The class is tough, and extra study is necessary, but any chemistry class requires effort. She gave the best chem notes (or notes for anything really) that I've ever had and is very clear with material. EXTREMELY knowledgable, has a strict schedule and doesn't like slowing down in class but encourages students to ask questions during office hours

Professor Hall's class is tough, but if you want to learn it's the place to be. She's a great professor and cares extensively about her students. She is always there to help, and more than willing to make appointments to go over work with students. The work load is pretty tough so procrastinating isn't a good choice. But, overall she is a great.

Professor Hall definitely doesn't deserve the bad reputation she has. Her lectures and her powerpoints are very organized and her grading curve is great. She can get a bit nit-picky on tests, but is also fair with partial credit. The amount of homework she assigns can be on the heavier side, but most of the problems she assigns are helpful.

Professor Hall has a genuine interest in her students. She is difficult, especially for lower level students, but eases up on upper level courses. She is always available to talk outside of class and help whenever she can. She is extremely dedicated, don't be fooled by her intimidating walk.

Love Hall! She is actually great despite what people say. Her teaching involves a lot of independent work where one has to actually do the work rather than cheat to be successful. She gives a lot of work, but Stonehill science is a lot easier with Hall as a Gen Chem Prof.

she expects the class to be your entire life. absolutly no acknowledgement of the fact that not all of us in the class want to be chem majors and are simply getting it over with. very abrasive and intimidating.made people cry before. save your sanity and take someone else.

She's a really great teacher if you pay attention during lecture. She really liked our class, which probably made it better, but I have to say that I had a 3 hour class with her and I never once wanted to gouge out my brain. Which is good. She is really dedicated, though, and very willing to help.
