Very unclear with what she wants from you, she waits untill after turning in an assignments to tell you what she really expected. Hard grader, very subjective and inconsistent. Not up to date withy current stats programs, ex: SPSS. Not a good professor to take if you are expecting clear instruction.

Dr. Borges is very helpful and so sweet. She wants all of her students to succeed. However, you need to apply yourself, in any 410 though. I would take her again and I recommend her to a serious student. (if you do very well and interact with her in, she would be an option for a letter of recommendation if you are trying to get into grad school).

she is scatterbrained and lectures from slides and is not helpful at all. I got pneumonia and missed one of the tests and she wouldn't let me make it up with a doctors note as proof! she is NOT very kind or knowledgable. AVOID HER!!!!!

Comment:
One of the best teachers in upper division work. She's more interested in her student's learning than quiz scores. Will help during quizzes to make sure you learn and do well on the midterm. Students must be detailed oriented in write-ups or will see many red marks.

She is scatterbrained. Her lectures are so disorganized and pointless it gives the impression she doesnt know what shes talking about. I was bored out of my mind, not only by her, but by her videos. Her tests include the most random information you would never expect. Final is optional and presentation is simple.

Nice woman, but she does not know how to teach. Exams are random, cumm final, a paper or presentation. (do the presentation b/c it's worth 5 more points) It's only 4-5 min presentation. If she told us that in the beginning everyone would of done the presentation. Exams are hard. Class is boring. Have someone sign you in.

class seems hard at first. quizes every week. meet w/her during office hours to go over questions & go to every class. things are better towards the end. she may seem weird in class when she answers questions, but overall, she's a good prof. she wants her students to succeed.

interesting.seemed very scatterbrained at first. she did seem very interested in the success of her students. it's just a boring class and you do have to show up to get points but towards the end of the class things lighten up with class presentations for those who choose to do that.

Nice professor but boring class. Videos make you fall asleep. Don't need to read the book, just focus on the study guide. You get the choice of a presentation or writing a paper. Passes sign in sheet now & then so you have to come to class to get pts. Ok class if you don't mind being bored sometimes.

She makes this class sooooo boring. In practically ever class i fall asleep. YOu do need to show up to class for points. She gives out four test and the final is optional. As long as you do the reading you will do great. The study guide helps a lot.
