Comment:

Best professor I had in my 4 years at the University of Houston. I took this class for personal improvement, but it made me seriously consider switching majors to creative writing. I thought I hated poetry before this class because I didn't "get" it, but I have an entirely new appreciation for it now.

He's a chill professor, but this is very deceptive as his tests are much harder than his lectures. Make sure you read the textbook and do the optional practice problems from the online coursework.

If you are quick to understand math, this class is easy. Textbook comes in handy, I would recommend reading before class. Exams aren't meant for you to fail, all you need to do is practice and he also allows index cards for exams. He appreciates class participation. If you need him to explain something twice, JUST ASK! He is very funny and witty.

just like any other elective/core course. Skip all the lectures, study before the night of test and get an A. The only difference is that the tests were a bit hard, but there was a curve. Dont expect any email communications/updates from the professor. You would have to keep track of exam dates and other deadlines.

Professor Murray is very nice and he is very chill during class BUT does not teach well and being in class does NOT really help You will NOT have time to write notes at all.. and the notes are not available online either No formal review for the exams, he just skims through all the chapters on the exams 3 exams, 1 final, essay; drops 1

The professor is super chill but he does not teach the material very well. The only way to pass the tests are if you read the book, because going to class does not help you at all. My suggestion is that you should not take Micro & Macro at UH because the whole department is terrible. Only curves at the end of the semester. 3 tests, HW's, essay

he is a very good knowledgeable teacher. he is always organized and ready for the class. He explains very well and he is eager to answer all the questions. For the exams it is enough that you attend the classes, listen to him very well, and just review the notes .

I liked Professor Murray, he was a nice teacher, very respectful towards students and funny. He is very helpful as well. Everyone seemed to do great in his class, including myself, and let me tell you, before I was not a big fan of statistics! I would defintely recommend taking him and you'll do great in his class!

When I first came to class, it was wow!!! Then it gets boring and boring each day. His tests aren't that bad, but if you mess up on a problem, it will eat you up. No curves whatsoever. Only curve he gave was when everyone missed the same problem on the last test. only 10% curve, not much. Letter grade he does not give +/- which is bad =(

he is a good teacher, I would recommend him to all. Likes to go over things even if everyone gets it but overall pretty good. You get to take a sheet of notes on test days which is really helpful! really cute old guy that wears the same too short tie just about everyday! lol
